Pats had a bye so it was a weekend of stress free football.
The Jets-Fins was an interesting early game. Quiet first half followed by a high flying 3rd quarter. I was glad to see Miami win, as it puts the Pats further ahead in first. Some of the Jets saying they 'outplayed' Miami and mocking their offense sounded like asses after the game. They beat you twice in 3 weeks, that's what counts. Here's hoping Miami's offense continues to struggle and the Pats special teams defenders show up next week.
Vikes at the Pack was just fun to watch. All the Favre drama + a close game. I really thought GB was going to comeback with all the momentum they had in the second half.

At least this week I don't have to revise my prediction for the Broncos season. Still 6-10.

Really good game tonight. After failing to get the TD before halftime, I was ready to write the Falcons off, but they did a great job holding the Saints and keeping it a game. The second-to-last interception that killed the Falcons was just a great defensive play that couldn't really be held against Ryan. Even on that last drive with no time left, I thought they could still pull it in for the tie!

Well I obviously know less than nothing, but my guess is no. They invested $60,000,000 in Cassel, and they have so many holes EVERYWHERE that my best guess is they wouldn't go QB.
God, the Packers sucked. I knew they weren't a very good team, but losing that badly to the winless Bucs tells me they have a long way to go just to be mediocre.
Not sure which was worse- the defense making a rookie QB look like an all-star, the special teams unit giving up one big play after another or the passing game. Besides throwing 3 interceptions, Aaron Rodgers was sacked another 6 times. He should know by now that he has no front line and work on getting rid of the ball sooner.

Man, I hate it when the Patriots have to play the Dolphins. Miami always puts up a hell of a fight. I saw a very interesting stat during the game: since 2002, the Patriots have only lost ten games within their division. Five of those losses were against the Dolphins.
Don't have to worry about that this time around, though.
I really don't know what to say about this Niner team. I still like Singletary, and I don't even think it's all his fault. I look at that offense and see so many holes and it's just bad to watch. Maybe next year with two first round picks (And probably two good first round picks) they can do something and focus on the offensive line. I want to give Smith a chance, or maybe even go back to Hill, but the QB really isn't the problem. I just wish we see improvement every week and we don't.
