NFL 2023: A different shade of green for Aaron Rodgers

They should get rid of Russel Wilson too.

That's a lot easier said than done. Per Spotrac:

That's a lot of cap space and that contract is essentially untradeable.

Yeah, I've read a few stories online about Wilson's salary and how much of it is guaranteed. Denver is pretty much on the hook no matter how much they try and work the numbers.

With Daniel Jones' neck injury, Tyrod Taylor gets to be sacked 15 times by the Bills this weekend.

With last week's Browns QB, Dorian Thompson-Robinson, going to the bench, PJ Walker becomes the sacrificial lamb to the 49ers.

That's his full name? Everyone was calling him DTR I thought that was actually his name.

Yeah the only thing that worries me about the Cleveland game is their strong defense and I hear it might rain. Hopefully the 49ers can manage and this doesn't become a trap game.

I have no interest in college football so I have no idea if this Caleb Williams guy is worth the hype. Still, it seems like a few franchises have their eyes on him already. Broncos look awful and are selling, Bears have winless Carolina's pick, Vikings looking to gut an already-bad defense by the trade deadline, Giants are doomed with that offensive line...

Watching the NFL highlights, it seems as there were a lot more interceptions and QB sacks this week than in previous ones.

Giants still have yet to score an offensive touchdown in the first half this season. Their only first half TD was by the defense. And their last offensive TD period came in week 3.

Anthony Richardson likely out for the season.

It was fun while it lasted. But if surgery is the best move for him, that's what he needs to do. There's no reason to rush him back this year - we needed to see if he could be a starter in the NFL, and we saw that. Let him rest, get stronger, and hope he adjusts his playing style a little. He's a dynamic athlete, Colts would be fools not to utilise his running talent on the field - but he also has to learn to slide where he can instead of fighting for an extra yard.

Aaron Rodgers could still play this season, you know... according to a CBS "injury expert."

Aaron Rodgers was walking without crutches and throwing pregame passes ahead of the Jets' Week 6 upset of the Eagles. It was the clearest sign yet that the quarterback is on an unprecedented timeline in his recovery from an Achilles tear, according to CBS Sports HQ injury expert Marty Jaramillo, who believes Rodgers is "absolutely" on pace to return this season.

"He's moving almost three times as fast as traditional protocols," Jaramillo told CBSSports.com Monday. "No boot, no crutches, minimal limp. It's quite exponential. There is no precedent for this type of recovery following an Achilles tear. He is beating back Father Time."

Specifically, Jaramillo estimates Rodgers could be fully ready to play 12-14 weeks after surgery, which would mean a return to the lineup as early as Week 15, when the Jets visit the Dolphins on Dec. 17. Crazy? Jaramillo has his own doubts, but he's "happy to be wrong," as Rodgers' current rehab suggests he'll be: "By Month 4 or even 3 at this pace -- or shall we say at a Rodgers pace -- he would be at the equivalent of Month 9 or 10 of traditional healing."

So my Rams finally find a running game (179 yards against AZ), and what happens?

Top 2 running backs go to IR, and we’re signing guys off the street.

:scream:

Saints TE is wide open and drops the tying touchdown in the end zone on third down. Next play incomplete. Jags win.

Justin Fields out with injury. Tyson Bagent to start. Who?!?!?!?

Undrafted free agent from Shepherd in West Virginia. Holds the NCAA passing touchdown record. Was on fire enough in training camp that the Bears felt comfortable naming him QB2.
