NFL 2023: A different shade of green for Aaron Rodgers

At least my Texans are seemingly headed in a good direction after this draft and getting DeMeco Ryans as their new HC. We shall see. I've been watching pro football in Houston since the early Oilers days, and am usually either disappointed, or, I'm waiting for next year 'cause it's gonna be so good. LOL

I predict the Texans will go from a 3 win season to quite possibly a 6 or 7 win season this year.

As a Colts fan, I just hope our division will no longer be a joke. Maybe Richardson and Stroud will both pan out and our teams can challenge Lawrence and the Jags every year!

Henry Ruggs will plead guilty to one count of DUI resulting in death and one count of misdemeanor vehicular manslaughter. He'll be getting 3-10 years. If he had gone to trial and lost, that would been 2-50.

So Rodgers complains for years that the Packers don't draft him any weapons to throw to. As soon as he gets traded away, they draft two TE and three WR.

And then gets the Jets to sign all his old Packer buddies. How is this going to be any better than Green Bay?

Antonio Brown bought 47.5% of a National Arena League football team, claimed he's 100% owner, players and coaches haven't been paid since April 21, they played a game for free, the head coach quit because of it, six players were suspended due to an altercation on the team bus, police responded to an aggravated harassment call at their hotel, now Brown claims to be a foreign national and that he does not own the Albany Empire.

“I Brown, Antonio Tavaris a foreign national but not a citizen of the United States at birth, am writing to you regarding recent reports that have been circulating in the media regarding my supposed ownership of the Albany Empire team. I want to make it very clear that I am not the owner of this team, and any claims to the contrary are completely false.”

:guffaw:

Brown is the gift that keeps on giving.

Apparently there was some tampering going on with Washington talking to Andrew Luck or someone associated with Andrew Luck to inquire if he'd want to come back to the league.

Hmm... Might be an interesting choice for Washington. I don't think the kids they picked can steer.

As for Luck, I don't understand how nobody is allowed to talk to him now that he's considered "retired". The Colts owner Jim Irsay is the one bringing up the "tampering" point. Is Luck still under contract? Is he still pulling a paycheck from Indianapolis? Something seems a little off with this one...

His contract tolls. If he ever decided to return to the NFL, he'd be under contract to the Colts for a further three seasons.

Because of Aaron Rodgers, the Jets are getting five primetime games this season. Will this be Russell Wilson/Broncos 2.0?

No prime time for the Texans. All their games are at noon, with only one exception for a 3PM game. I actually like it, it makes them easier to watch.

The Cardinals, Colts and Falcons will be joining the Texans.

I'm certainly grateful to the NFL for thinking so little of the Texans as to not send them to an overseas game. Maybe it's the fact the Texans have a rookie head coach, rookie offensive coordinator, and a rookie QB all learning their new jobs at the same time. LOL

I do think DeMeco Ryans was a good choice though. I hope he brings some spirit to the team. They need something.
