Confused by the pick of Gibbs at 12 by the Lions.

All this Will Levis first round talk reminds me of last year's Malik Willis first round talk.

The Anthony Richardson era will be fun to watch in Indy. Successful? Who knows. But fun to watch, certainly.

How often do quarterbacks with only one season as the starter leave college early and find success in the NFL?

One recent underclassman first rounder was Mitch Trusbisky. Mark Sanchez was another.

It's a huge gamble for sure. But if there's any coach I'd want to see take a crack at him it's Shane Steichen.

Don't be throwin' shade on old Dirty Sanchez, now... He played his ass off!

Or, I guess I should say that he played someone else's ass off...

Well, it is the Jets. Home of Sanchez, Geno Smith, Sam Darnold and Zach Wilson.

In fairness, Sanchez did go to the AFC Championship twice in his first two seasons before becoming a butt fumble joke.

Yeah, I don't know what happened to him? Maybe he thought he made it and quit putting in the work, bad coaching or the pressure of taking the Jets to the Super Bowl? But he definitely fell off a cliff.

Texans definitely pulled off an epic first round. Whether it was worth it, we'll see at some point. #2 and #3 picks.

My Bears traded from #9 to #10 (for a 4th rounder next year) and took an OT, which is a huge need for them.

Well, it's not like he was ever an amazing QB despite the AFC title game runs. Jets had top defenses for those years.

Not amazing, but serviceable. At least, for a while.

Rex Ryan wasn't all that great as a coach. I loved watching him on the sidelines but the teams were awful. Jets and Bills both under his care.

Those first two seasons, his job was to not screw up. The more they depended on him, the less productive he was.

Indeed. QB's receive way too much credit (and often-times blame) for the entire team's performance. Yes, granted, they are considered "leaders" and "captains", but it's always supposed to be a team effort. If the O-line is made of Nerf, the best QB's in the world wouldn't have more than 2 seconds to decide what to do on every play and most likely get hurt quickly from the onslaught. Long-range scrambles and routes would be impossible to execute. Washington suffered from that for years and so, too, Denver recently in the post-Manning years. It's not just QB's, either. I love John Riggins to death, but his biggest winning runs wouldn't ever have happened if it weren't for the Hogs' ability to regularly clear him a path to the endzone. No "I" in team... No "U" in team, either!

Will Levis goes to Tennessee in the 2nd round.

Did anyone think it was funny how the ESPN analytics (what are they even basing that stuff on?) completely blew it with Levis on day one?
