Philadelphia is waving the white flag. I never expected them to collapse like this.
Tampa Bay might just stand a chance next weekend.
I expect it to be a dull, low scoring affair. The winning team will be which one snores loudest. In a game that means nothing, the Cardinals lose to the Seahawks 21-20 with their kicker missing two field goals that would've been the difference.
Normally I'd say the Eagles will crush the Bucs, but if feels like both teams backed into the playoffs.
Apparently interesting end to the Saints teabagging of the Falcons. At the end of the game, Dennis Allen said a kneel down was called and the Saints players decided to run a play to get a TD.
From coverage on theScore app --I can't recall the last time I heard of a team going rogue like that. Shows you exactly how much respect they have for Dennis Allen.
So yeah, they went rogue.Allen apologized to the Falcons and Smith during his postgame press conference.
"That's not who we are, not what we're about," Allen said, according to Mike Triplett of NewOrleans.Football.
Allen added that Saints players asked him if Williams - who led the NFL in rushing touchdowns in 2022 but had yet to score this season - could get a TD in the season, according to Katherine Terrell of ESPN. Allen rejected the request and wanted the team to take a knee, but the players ran the play anyway. Allen called it "unacceptable."
"We made a collective decision," Winston said postgame, per Rod Walker of The Times-Picayune.
Saints offensive lineman Cesar Ruiz also defended the players' decision to let Williams score late.
"I couldn't go home without getting him one. Whatever heat that comes with that, put that on the O-line," Ruiz said.

Jameis Winston was involved, so I'm not terribly surprised. That is truly fucked up.

I completely agree. Please don't think I'm taking a victory lap by posting the info.I know fans celebrate these firings, unfortunately there are a lot of people who have just had their worlds' turned upside-down.
