NFL 2022: The Fall of the "Immunized" Aaron Rodgers

JJ Watt announces he's retiring at the end of the season.

Coaching the Broncos is so awful that defensive coordinator Ejiro Evero turned down the interim head coach job.

Tua Tagovailoa is back in concussion protocol.

Mike White gets the start against Seattle. Zach Wilson back to the bench.
The Earthly remains of Mike White are a better option than Wilson

Will probably have a shot at other jobs at the end of the year. No need to dirty the resume for two weeks of being an interim head coach.

It's kind of funny to remember that the Bears offered Seattle three first-rounders for Wilson, but the Seahawks turned it down.

If that trade had gone through, everyone would be blaming the Bears for ruining him. Instead, he went to Denver, and he proved that he's just fucking cooked.

Derek Carr may have been shut down for the season. Jarrett Stidham to start and Chase Garbers to be the backup.

Malik Willis is so bad that the Titans are starting Joshua Dobbs at QB tonight. Dobbs was signed off the Lions practice squad 8 days ago. Willis has failed to pass for 100 yards or throw a TD in any of his three starts.

When I moved to a city that had a full time local sports talk radio station, I would listen all the time. Now I only listen when I'm in the car, but I still enjoy it (except when they let the listeners call in). Since I started working from home, I've turned on sports talk shows that the streamers air to use for background noise, and I have to say listening to Mike Florio or Chris Simms for an extended amount of time is not that interesting. It's one thing when commentators like them are guests on a radio show and speak for five minutes, but when they have their own shows, for every topic they just say the same thing 15 different ways. It's like they have to stretch their material to fill the time.

To be fair Malik is a raw rookie and Dobbs has several years in the league at least. Frankly I always thought it was a shame that Dobbs never got a real shot, and I think he's got a chance against the Jags considering what he did against the Cowboys with a backup O-Line and no Henry. In retrospect I wish Vrabel and company had gone ahead and let him try against the Texans.

Jarrett Stidham and David Blough to become the 63rd and 64th starting QBs this season, tying a non-strike record set in 2007. The 1987 strike year had 87 starting QBs.

The only teams that have had just one starting QB are the Bills, Bengals, Chargers, Chiefs, Giants, Jaguars, Lions, Packers, Seahawks and Vikings. The Rams and Cardinals have had four each.

NFLPA files grievance against the Carolina Panthers and NFL over the turf at Bank of America Stadium during the Dec. 24 game.

The New York Football Giants are going to the playoffs.

Good for them.

:techman:

Meanwhile, after the beating of a lifetime in Los Angeles, the Broncos are giving the Chiefs all they can handle.

Me trying to keep interest in the Patriots after that ridiculous losing play last week since their playoff hopes are still alive when the Celtics and Bruins are both betting favorites.

Considering how it's a known fact that the Ravens score a few more points with Lamar Jackson than they do without, and how many games have been close, don't they have to pay him?

Also, your Saturday schedule is Kansas City-Las Vegas and Tennessee-Jacksonville.

It's been a fun to be a Lions fan on this run, but I'm not holding much hope we can win in Lambeau next week AND that the Rams will beat the Seahawks.

Probably right on both counts, but good for the Lions nonetheless.

I'm happy for Jared Goff. And if they could somehow keep the Packers out, I'm all for it.

The Miami Dolphins and their playoff hopes comes down to the Patriots losing and either Skylar Thompson or Teddy Bridgewater leading them to the win.
