Long odds of him making it through the season, and Gordon as well, but holy crap, just unfair offense on paper. Brown, Gordon, Edelman are the top 3. Aren’t enough double teams to figure that out, and they’ll smoke single coverage or get 100% PI calls. And then James White and Sony Michel should be basically uncovered at that point, and can just walk in. I don’t know how you defend this thing, assuming they are all actually on the field at the same time. And then there’s that Brady guy at QB, who isn’t too bad. Glad I got him in Fantasy, he may be worth a million points...
I don't understand the Raiders. They had to realize that huge fine and apparently stripping the guaranteed money from his contract would send AB off the deep end. If they just wanted to be done with the guy, why not just cut him and void his contract on Thursday or Friday? It just looks plain stupid. Gruden was quoted saying the video was not a problem. As of Friday he is set to play on Monday and then they basically sabotage the whole thing. I can't make sense.of how the Raiders handled this. Pats just signed AB for one year. This reflects really poorly on Gruden and Mayock.
Got to hope it isn’t Chad Johnson all over again. Patriots run a pretty complex offense, let’s hope Brown can learn it on the fly. I don’t think it does. It was clear that the marriage wasn’t going to work out. Carr just needs a decent receiver who can find a hole in the zone nine yards downfield on a third-and-8. A Welker or Amendola type.
Bet the rest of the AFC is pissed at the Raiders. I don't blame them. Now all we need to do is go out and get mauled by the Broncos on Monday.
I’m a Dolphins fan. The Patriots do what they do: take advantage of situations they think will help them win. Nothing for me to be mad at.
Why should Brown get special treatment? The fines are lined out in the CBA and Brown would (hopefully) be aware of potential consequences. I'm usually a power to the player guy but I also firmly believe in natural consequences.
Sorry for the double post but I just read an article that gave me a chuckle. Brown's first game will likely be week 2 against the Dolphins
Patriots could likely roll out a roster of grocery clerks and steam roll the current edition of the Dolphins.
Nick Foles throws his first TD as a Jaguar. Hurts his shoulder on the play, out the rest of the game.
I feel worse for Brian Flores. He’ll be around for two agonizing years, then get fired once the talent base begins to form.
Wow, the Dolphins are not good at football. My Rams toughed one out on the road. Goff has to get in a better rhythm as he missed wide open guys all day. Nice to see Gurley push 100 yards.
