NFL 2018 Season

Le'Veon Bell sitting out 2018.

I have a feeling he may regret his decision here. I'm sure he'll make some money, but I don't think he'll recover that $14.6 million in 2018. Most teams will be taking a hard look at his skills and whether they are worth the price, especially in light of James Conner being every bit as productive. Teams will have to ask themselves whether Bell's success is because of Bell or the system/offensive line in Pittsburgh.

Luckily for Bell, the Jets are out there and desperate to win. Which means they will likely overpay.

I'm not comfortable in general in a 16 game season one team losing a home game.

I wonder to what extent Bell cares more about making teams think twice about who they franchise than losing a couple million.

An allegedly intoxicated New Jersey man rear ended a car in front of him on Sunday, according to CBS New York, and when Wayne Township police responded to the scene they smelled alcohol on his breath.

While receiving a sobriety test, the man blurted out to police officers that he “drank too much because the Jets suck,” CBS reported.

The Jets have, in fact, stunk it up recently, losing four straight games, the most recent a shameful 41-10 defeat at the hands of a journeyman QB and an awful Buffalo Bills offense.

I give him 1/10 effort. At least he didn't say the old "only a couple of beers, officer" which is boring even for New Jersey,

Not an excuse for a one time drinking event, the Beatles were still playing Stadiums last time the Jets were consistently good. Unless he started drinking in the late 60s and was REALLY hammered....

best case, he got his hopes up when the Jets almost didn't suck for a second in like 2011 and started drinking after that....?

The Saints are a machine. I love that they don't shift down a gear when they get up on a team. They just keep coming.

Alex Smith got "Theismanned" exactly 33 years to the day after Joe's injury. Both lower leg bones are broken.

Sad to see what happened to Alex Smith. For some reason the Texans keep winning, when they aren't that good of a team. It'll catch up to them in the playoffs. If the Texans ever fix the problem with their offensive line though, they could be formidable. Our head coach may have the team on a 7 game winning streak, but I just don't like him.

Bears 25 Vikings 20. Finally beat a winning team.

Trubisky had a pretty underwhelming game, but the D wreaked it's usual havoc. 22 rushing yards for Minnesota, 2 INT's including a pick-6, 2 sacks, a fumble recovery.

The Saints are ridiculous.

I have been hoping this year would be like 1999, but I fear it's going to be more like 1985 or 1989.

The best teams we could muster ran into absolute buzz saws in the NFC Championship.

:(

Can't believe the Chargers lost. Missed extra point and poor time management at the end of the game did them in. If you kickers keep missing XP's, maybe its time to fire the Special Teams coordinator instead of constantly rotating K's.

Totally agree, it's good to see. And it's the other team's job to stop you, you don't want to get in a habit of playing hard for 20 minutes and turning it off again. Eventually, you may need the full 60 minutes and won't be ready.

Of course, it's mean, unsportsmanlike, being a dick, and running up the score when the Patriots do it ;)

Nah. Not for me. I've never complained about the Patriots, and my favorite team plays in the same division.

You play hard for sixty minutes, anything else is cheating the audience.

I just enjoy poking the double standard on that one, totally agree with your point. If you want a team to stop scoring, talk to YOUR defense, not THEIR offense...

And yes, going for it on 4th down LOOKS bad, but it's trying to speed the game along and give you another chance to stop them. Kicking the field goal scores less points, but that's what I'd consider running up the score...

So Mark Sanchez has been signed to be Colt McCoy's backup on the Skins.

Crap.

Lest we forget, the "Dirty Sanchez" of Jets infamy.

My poor old team's in serious trouble...again. :(
