Wonder if Belichick will get blackballed? https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.c...-his-reluctance-to-wear-specialized-nfl-gear/ I could see the hysteria if an African-American head coach refused to wear the NFL military branded wear.
Carolina got one hell of a paddling. With that performance, I believe the Steelers have put themselves firmly among the AFC favorites along with the Chiefs and Patriots (and Chargers, I should add).
Wow, that was surprising. I'm off in a couple of hours for my Football Weekend Extravaganza. USC/Cal tomorrow, Rams/Seahawks on Sunday.
I saw that score this morning and was like, "wat." That's the kind of performance where you load everyone onto the bus and leave the defensive coordinator at the stadium.
Dez Bryant should've taken the three year/$21 million dollar offer from Baltimore earlier in the year. Tore his Achilles tendon in practice, right after signing with New Orleans. https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.c...ts-fear-dez-bryant-tore-achilles-in-practice/
New Orleans is downright fucking scary right now. Hung 45 on the Rams last week, 51 on the Bengals this week. Feel sorry for Josh Rosen, on his second offensive coordinator and his line still can't block. He's got a rough road ahead of him. Tampa is a bad offense. Five times in the Red Zone... four turnovers and a field goal. Right after I said I though Atlanta and Carolina could hang with the Rams, they both promptly turn around and lay turds.
Cody Parkey didn't just miss 2 PAT's and 2 FG's, he hit the uprights all four times. That cannot be easy. So much room between the uprights and a lot of room outside. The Bears will be looking for a new kicker if this continues next week. Still a nice win over the Lions. Closer than it should've been and Trubisky had another great game (23-30, 355 YDS, 3 TD). We sacked Stafford 6 times and intercepted him twice. Our running game needs to get going though. Cleveland manages a win over Atlanta, and the Titans knock off the Patriots. I'm hoping for a Green Bay loss now.
Ain't it wonderful? In fact, I remember years ago when they were so awful that the fans wore brown paper sacks over their heads and called the team The Ain'ts. Except the Bears have signed him to a 4 year contract with $9 million guaranteed. This ESPN story is about the Bears putting a brave face on it, but what else can they do? They're hardly going to wonder publicly about a pig in a poke. ESPN
Yeah, I've seen that story a couple places now. Who the hell gives a kicker that kind of guaranteed money? Those guys can be the streakiest players on an NFL team outside of exceptions like Vinatieri and a few others. Parker cost us the Miami game. Luckily we had a good lead today.
Cincinnati fires defensive coordinator Teryl Austin. https://www.profootballrumors.com/2018/11/bengals-fire-dc-teryl-austin
Rams win! A great time at the Old Coliseum yesterday. Completely lost my voice, as they required all possible volume to pull out the victory. 9-1!
You guys going to be able to knock off the Chiefs next week? Can't afford to fall two games behind the Saints.
