NFL 2018 Season

Saying this as a guy who has coached football for 24 years (20 of those at the varsity HS level) and played at the small college level...this was the best defensive Super Bowl I've ever seen. In this era of explosive offense, both teams had unbelievable defensive game plans and made tremendous plays. The athleticism and ability these guys showed on that side of the ball was sheer brilliance.

And then, in the end, it was fullbacks (James Devlin) and tight ends (Rob Gronkowski) that made the difference for the Patriots on that winning drive. It was a throwback game to the days when defense and physicality mattered. Loved it.

And Brady. 9 Super Bowl appearances. 6 Championships. Belichick has been on the sideline for 23% of all Superbowls ever played. You'll never see that again in your lifetime.

Love it. Hate it. But recognize how amazing it is in this age. You've witnessed history.

I don’t think there was anything in that game I liked. The game itself was boring, the halftime show was dreadful and the commercials were meh. I thought the best commercial was the bud light game of thrones ad. That was so unexpected

Don't forget 13 AFC Championship appearances, and the only two years they didn't make the playoffs were Brady's 2nd year and the year he was injured, both of which cases they only missed on tiebreakers.

Joe Montana, playing in an era when anything short of homicide was a legal hit on the quarterback, went to only 4 Super Bowls and won only 4 rings.

Alright alright, an old school rumpus to put the capper on the end of an era. Ta-ra. And Lil McVay, I hope you had your fun with Kyle's playbook. But thinking what might be dawning is a...

Well, THAT'll teach me to write off my team before the season's over. I was telling friends in November that this wouldn't be a SB year for The Pats. Wrongo! (I'm SO happy I'm inept at predicting football) And we even get 55 degree weather for the parade tomorrow!

Well next year Brady will be to old to win again so they can't possible get yet another!

Jason

That's what they said this year, and the past couple years the Pats have been to the Superbowl. Brady have 4 more fingers without rings! ;) Also keep in mind, that while the Kraft's own the team and Belichek is coaching they will always be Superbowl contenders, I'm sure they will get a good quarterback after Brady is gone. It's another double title year for us here in NE, with the Red Sox, and now the Patriots again, both at L.A.'s expense.

The 'Blitz for Six' is over, its now time for the 'Seven is Heaven' campaign!!

Right, because 9 Super Bowl appearances in the salary cap/free agency era is not an accomplishment.

If I was under the impression that you knew anything about the game that would allow for a meaningful discussion, I'd engage.

I'll leave it at that.

I'm looking forward to the 7th Super Bowl win...knocking off the damn Steelers off the pedestal.

Rams were doomed when their QB coach started talking to the Bengals, the Bengal curse thus introduced into the Rams destroyed any all hope they had.

Gotta be some sort of shot you can get to ward that off, or a cream to put on the rash before it spreads?

Sometime, in a near dystopian future, we will all debating whether Brady can possibly still win after 75...

And sports broadcasters will be debating whether cryogenically freezing yourself between games in cheating.
