I think the Bears are better than people realize.
I'd like to believe that, but they've burned me too many times in the last 30 some years. I think even before getting Mack, they were going to be better than last year.

I think there's a good chance they pull an upset this weekend. And then they have four very winable games after that.
5-0 isn't out of the realm of possibilities.
How a 41 million bonus is paid out was negotiable to the mutual satisfaction of Mack and the Raiders. But, if I'm not mistaken, there really were no substantive negotiations. Supposedly, the Raiders hadn't talked to Mack since February of this year.It isn't about the salary cap, it is about cash flow. Which are two distinct things. Khalil Mack is going to get $41 million this year, something I guarantee Davis couldn't do. Because they could have easily converted some other salaries to bonuses to make Such a deal fit into their cap. Mack was already taking up $13+ million dollars in cap space.
Apparently the Rams made a strong offer for Khalil Mack, but the Raiders felt the pick(s) would be "too low".
Story
Last night's game was one of the main reasons I was wishing I watched the Flyers instead. The NFL is so flag happy it's ruining the product.
...instead of admitting that football is a fundamentally unsafe game that ruins the bodies and minds of the people who play it.

You're not the only one. Ratings were down across the board for the season opener. The sport looks like it may be having some real longevity problems.I never got to the flags, the sheer amount of commercials in the broadcasts have driven me away.
You mean "Haahvahd".Gotta love those Harvard players...
