I don't know why anyone is surprised.

It's a well known fact that the Patriots are in league with Satan.

Let's just crown their assets now so we can get on to complaining about something else for the next 18 or so weeks.

I seem to make this post almost every year. :scream:

As long of the dark lord of the hoodie continues his reign, we won't have much else to complain about.

As it stands, it looks like the Pats will be the AFC reps, who will be the NFC reps? The Iggles maybe?

And now in the playoffs, Brady isn't going to be as tired as the other quarterbacks.

If Brady gets handed a 4-0 record with a short season, it will be hilarious, and I'll be laughing at Roger Goodell the whole season.

It's fun to be a Boston sports fan now. I first became really into sports right around the time in the 90s all the Boston teams sucked. Now we've had sixteen years of no more than a three year championship gap, two teams with championship ambitions and one a couple years away from championship ambitions.

Where do the Bruins factor into that? They're a long way off competing for championships with that defense and management.

Why? I'm sure Goodell wasn't trying to ruin the Pats' season when he sentenced Brady. That would have been detrimental to the league and therefore, to him.

Goodell can use whatever happens to the Pats this season to his advantage. If they fail to make the playoffs or make it with a bad seeding, Goodell can say, "see, better stay in line or you see what might happen". If the Parts have a great season, he can say to the next guy who screws up " see, even if I suspend you, you it still might not hurt your season at all, so relax and let it happen". This one might be especially effective if that next player is a Cowboy.

In fact, I'de say that Goodell is probably pretty pleased with the way this thing has played out so far.

I was referring to the Celtics as the one a few years away from having a shot.

I always saw the Brady suspension as Goodell's version of 'RESPECT MY AUTHORITAH!' After a lot of criticism for not handling domestic violence issues, player safety issues, player protest issues, or pretty much any controversial issue very well he wanted a win and a show of being strong and in control. It seems to me a little embarrassing to him if after all the court drama the suspension didn't even hurt the Patriots.

Looked worrying there for a while but Colts pulled out the win versus San Diego. 0-3 would've been tough to come back from. At 1-2, they're still right there in contention for the division with how weak the AFC South is.

In other news, Philadelphia's Carson Wentz has looked impressive. Only 3 games but they mauled the Steelers at home today.

Raiders' defense finally showed up and actually got the win for us in Tennesee. Our corners and linebackers really improved their games. The Titans D played just as well, holding our explosive O to just 17 first half points throughout the game. But can't help but think that we could have scored again if we'd needed to. We're 2-1 and still on track.

Raiders are solid. They're going to have a good year.

Are the Raiders legit? I feel like their next game against the undefeated Ravens might answer some questions in that regard.

The Dolphins-Browns game was fun to watch. Neither team wanted to win, and tried everything they could think of to achieve their desired outcome.
Also, the Dolphins newly renovated stadium was about two-thirds full, and lots of front row seats in the end zones were empty. Yay.
