Mr. Mopey is also a better quarterback than Mr. Activist.

Mr. Activist still doesn't deserve to be blackballed like he has been, though.

It's not surprising when you consider the fact that Kap couldn't even beat out Blaine Gabbert for the starting job and his performance for the past few seasons has been horrible. Teams will take a chance on a troubled player so long as he is productive. Also remember that he CHOSE to opt out of his contract. He wasn't released by the 49ers.

Gotta be an encouraging press conference for Dolphins fans. Culter comes up and says that it's a good thing he's a QB, because he doesn't have to be in such great shape...

Meh. We know we are getting a rental, and we won't win the AFC East. But we might make the playoffs and maybe even win a game or two this time.
For anywhere not within 500 miles of Gillette Stadium, that's progress.

I hope Cutler wins the Super Bowl in Miami and throws like 50 touchdowns this season, just to watch every chowderhead Bears fan's head explode.

ESPN essentially making him the face of the network in the wake of all their layoffs is both hilarious and sad.
His default is OUTRAGE, and no one bothers to see if his spittle actually lands on something valid, they just retweet or share or post his shenanigans on YouTube.

How is Kaepernick troubled?
Being backup to Blaine Gabbert. Having trouble being effective as a pocket passer once teams took away his ability to run. Have you watched the games he has played in the last few years? There's a reason that he's been sitting the bench and it happed long before he started his little displays on the sidelines.

Exactly.

He had a precipitous decline in quality before the anthem thing. His last season as a starter he looked terrible.

That said, there are more than a few terrible QB's that still have jobs around the NFL. I'm surprised no one has picked him up on the cheap.

There are teams who pick up players who were cut after some legal trouble or bad behavior because they think they can "fix" that player with their extra special team atmosphere.
Then you have Kaepernick. I'm not sure even those over confident teams really know how to deal with him without coming off as racist or in some way stifling his freedom of expression. And then they may not want to end up with him pulling the same crap in-game on their sideline.
Bottom line, Kaepernick did this to himself.
