Thank merciful Christ we can finally put a bullet to the head of this season. Rams finish last in every offensive category.

Absolutely atrocious football.

We'll need a lot more than a new coach and staff. We need to cut about 10 guys right now. Greg "Holding" Robinson and Brian "Dropped Pass" Quick are the top two.

I'm just going to leave this here:

I don't know what to say about the Seahawks at this point. Injuries are a b*tch and we needed Lockett and Thomas badly if wanted to make a serious playoff run. I'm beginning to think Russell Wilson was even more seriously injured at the beginning of the season than fans and the press were lead to believe. Week 17 and he's still not his old self, and they sent Boykin in at the end of a close game. Yeah Boykin needed the reps and at that point 3rd or 4th seed was pretty much moot, but it's kind of odd to sit a "healthy" quarterback.

At this point I could see the Seahawks maybe beating Detroit only because it's a home game. They'll be out in the divisional round if the Falcons play well at all.

If it were any other season, I wouldn't be worried about the Lions, but this season who knows. The NFC is stacked so thickly that it's going to be a rough post season.

Yeah, the injuries are awful.

I'm hoping for a Patriots-Cowboys Superbowl. But the only real challenger in the Pats' way are the Chiefs. We'll see. I think New England will play Oakland first.

The NFL needs to watch it, how many dumpster fires of franchises can they take? right now the Browns, Bills, 49ers and Chargers are total jokes with the Bears, Jags and Bengals just slightly better.

The NFC is stacked. The AFC is pretty much primed for New England at this point barring Pitt or KC disrupting things. Pittsburgh's defense is something that Brady can easily exploit. I think the Cowboy defense is their fatal flaw along with a rookie Quarterback who seems to struggle with a good pass rush (who doesn't).

Browns and 49ers were the clear cases of tanking. The Jags, I'm not sure.

If the Bears could do anything right, they would have lost 1 or 2 more games and gotten the #2 pick.

You forgot the Rams and Colts.

And Jets. And probably another list that's just kinda sad and obviously never going anywhere over 8-8 or so, but not technially dumpster fires. There's like 5-6 legit teams max, another 5-6 marginal contenders, and then a couple shades of 'no effing way'

In a league with that much parity built in, kinda horrific that less than a 3rd are even in the discussion for marginally competent much less contention. I could probably give you next year's playoff teams without more than 1-2 misses, and even a decent chance at guessing division vs wild card teams...

I can live with that, Alicia. I'm a 12 and proud of it, but I also want our guys to be healthy again. If that means this is the year we don't get too far in the playoffs, I'm okay with that.

That NFL team from Houston, the horrific Houston Dumpster Fires, plays the incapacitated Raiders to start the playoff games Saturday. Now I'm from Houston, was a big Oiler fan until they left, and now a Texan fan. Sort of. If you like boring ass professional football with an offense a high school team could beat you'll love the Texans, oh excuse me, the Houston Dumpster Fires.

I was reading the other day that Bill O'Brien and his coaching staff weren't even permitted to meet with Osweiler before the Texans signed him.

Definitely a growing problem as the silver spoon children of the original NFL owners are taking over. Franchises run by idiots, no business experience, no common sense, never worked a day in their lives, used to being rich and having their asses kissed.

About half the open jobs in the league, you'd look at the situation and think it would be ok, then look at the owner, and don't know how you could even apply for the job...

Well, here's to my Steelers getting some revenge this weekend.

Finally pretty much all healthy for a play-off game.

Thank you, Seahawks!

Great win by the Seahawks! People complaining about the face mask foul. They seem to think if the offsetting fouls had caused a replay things would have been different. I suppose it's possible, but the Lions had three more quarters to fight back while the score was pretty low and they couldn't catch up. They couldn't stop our relatively weak run game. Got no interceptions off a quarterback who'd had a rough time with them lately. Detroit just got outplayed all around.

On to next week...if our defense can stop Ryan there's a possibility of a close game. The way he's been playing though I wouldn't count on it. Time will tell I guess.

I watched the third and fourth quarter of the Hawks versus the Lions with my babysitting charges this evening. We're still not sure what to call that one brilliant catch by Doug Baldwin. Bum bum catch? Ground Control?
