Okay instead of talking about the next series' characters, ship, enemies, etc. how about discussing what you would like to see in the next episode about a transporter accident as the A story.
Luther Sloan made up a good little list about transporter-related episodes:
The last Trek episode made ENT "Daedalus" #410.
Instead of it being dismissed that a crewmember died with a sentence because the ship could only get a lock on 4 people instead of all 5 before a explosion at the transportion site.
I'd like to have 2 or 3 species get transported to the ship but catch a virus somehow that a different alien species has but if manifests itself differently when in a different species.
Or...a homage to The Fly (1958)/The Fly (1986) with two species merged into one but one not being a crewmember or intelligent alien the crew is interacting with but rather something smaller than the size of a hand like...a fly, but NOT a fly to not be a remake homage episode. Perhaps a Ceti eel from the planet Ceti Alpha V... or a Centaurian slug.
