Of them all, I opted for Phantom 2040 because I have a soft spot for The Ghost Who Walks. But I'd much rather see a period-set Phantom movie, something like the under-rated Billy Zane starrer.

The cool thing about the Phantom concept, though, is that it can work in any era, depending on which Phantom you choose to focus on.

A potential Go-Bots movie is all but nullified since Hasbro owns Tonka, who owned Go-Bots. Go-Bots was a rival of Transformers and would not be brought back since Hasbro prefers its own Transformers property and the Go-Bot storyline was considered a knock-off of Transformers.

Dino-Riders's plot seemed like a knock-off of Thundercats. The last of a good culture fleeing pursuers from a multi-species evil empire, both camps marooned on a planet with "monsters" roaming about.

Honestly, I'm not sure I want to see any of these remade into movies if Bayformers is any indication of what to expect. There were some good times, but I think I prefer to remember them as they are.

Robotech would be fun for how inevitably awful it would be, and I wouldn't really care how bad it was since it's just the bastardized version of a better show anyway.

The cool thing about the Phantom concept, though, is that it can work in any era, depending on which Phantom you choose to focus on.

Oh yeah, totally. That's one of the things I like about it. The last talk of a Phantom movie was re a modern-set one but I'd rather have a retro one. Be it X-Men First Class or Captain America, I think there's something cool about superhero movies set in the past.
