As for She-Ra, I'm not sure about Jennifer Lawrence. I've only seen her in X-Men First Class and wasn't as impressed with her as many seem to be (I do intend to see Hunger Games once it's out on video, but haven't managed it yet).

Being almost wholly unfamiliar with He-Man, I can't comment on whether she'd be appropriate for that role. However, Jennifer Lawrence was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Actress in a Leading Role for her performance in the 2010 film Winter's Bone, which is out on DVD and available for instant streaming via Netflix; I would suggest that that's also worth checking out, especially in judging Lawrence's acting ability.

I've only seen Emma Stone in The Amazing Spider-Man, but she was pretty solid there, so yeah, I could see her as Teela.

I'd recommend checking her out in Easy A; it's a fun little film, and Stone's performance is delightful. She was nominated for a Golden Globe for Best Actress in a Motion Picture Musical or Comedy for that one. She's also quite good in Zombieland (which is itself a great deal sweeter a movie than its title would suggest). I'm told that she's also excellent in the films Crazy Stupid Love and The Help.

I'm sure Lawrence is a perfectly good actress; I just don't personally find her all that engaging, and I don't see her as She-Ra material. As I said, a younger Jeri Ryan would be pretty much perfect for the role, so that should give you an idea of what I'm looking for.

Surprised He-Man and She-Ra aren't included in the poll. They are my first two choices, followed by ThunderCats* and SilverHawks.

* Provided Snow Meow is included. If Snowy isn't included in the movie, screw it.

Didn't He-Man have a movie called "Masters of the Universe" with Dolph Lundgren as He-Man.

I do agree She-Ra needs a movie.

Didn't He-Man have a movie already called "Masters of the Universe" with Dolph Lundgren as He-Man.

It did. It was a long time ago, and it was terrible. It was just about on par with the Super Mario Brothers movie. They could do so much better with today's cheap and easy CGI.

I actually liked Masters of the Universe when it came out. Then again i was 9 years old when it was released.:)

The MotU movie wasn't bad, but was fairly mediocre. It certainly wasn't very true to the show. It's mainly of interest for featuring a young, pre-fame (or lower-level-fame) Courteney Cox, as well as a pre-Voyager Robert Duncan Macneil. Also, Michael Westmore did the makeup effects, and when he later did TNG, he reused Frank Langella's Skeletor makeup for one of Worf's holodeck opponents.

I find Foster's pale eyes rather creepy, which did make her a good choice for Evil-Lyn. Not fond of the costume designs in the movie, though.

It's because the guy making it wanted to do a tribute to Jack Kirby's work rather than a He-man movie.

Goes without saying, but you'd need stars that were actually built like the cartoon characters to make authentic costumes work, and the only one that came close was Dolph.
