New uniform

Yep. Gone is the chevron pattern in the shirt. The collar is higher with the color matching the rest of the tunic; there is black poking out at the top of the color. There is dark red paneling on the sides, and the cut is vastly different than the '09/ItD uniforms with square shoulders/sleeves rather than a jersey-style.
The pants are no longer motorcycle jeans. The boots are also no longer the DKNY motorcycle boots (seen in other pics) and are ankle length rather than calf length.
The collars are more TNG
Not really digging the darker panels. They might grow on me. The cut of the tunic is OK. But I still wished they stuck with the previous uniforms, which felt like the TOS uniforms with more polish.
Yeah, I noticed that too. Pine hair style now looks closer to Shatner's hair/toupee

I told 'em funding was contingent on getting the crew out of those tri-colored pajamas they've been running around in since 1966. Money talks, continuity walks.
Hadn't noticed the watch. Maybe it's not a new TMP style communicator, but maybe it is? The panels are also reminiscent of the TMP uniforms, to some degree. Those unis added texture through use of seperate sections, although IIRC only Kirk's Admiral uniform had different tones/colors.
The raised collars might be a nod to The Cage-style uniforms:
now will they still have the black undershirts or is the new uniforms doing what TOS did and have the black piping around the color?

Note the side ribbing on the Khan field-jackets.
That's the closest connection to earlier uniforms that I can see. They are a hell of a lot busier than the Cage field jackets.

The thigh holster for the pistol looks more like something Han Solo would wear. Was hoping for less Star Warsisms with JJ's exit.
