My only real complaint would be the overuse of the blue glow. Since most of the image itself is filled with a soft blue glow, having the text covered with it just feels a bit overkill. One option would be to have the text 'cut out' of the background glow and just be the pure black star-field. If not quite that simple, something similarly subdued.

This is my fairly mundane attempt at a poster for Star Trek. You can't really see it very well in such a small, low resolution jpeg, but there's actually a very faint overlay of Kirk and Spock from the advance posters that were released at ComicCon - the most obvious element of it is Spock's eye, which is over at the left hand side of the image. If my old laptop hadn't died, I would've been able to link you to the full size version of it.

You know what would be nice for the official poster, having it in the same style as the old TOS movie posters.
