New Trek Games -- After Star Trek XI

If any new Star Trek PC or console games come out after the new film, do you think the characters will portray the new actors or the old ones still? Or, which would you prefer?

I think Paramount would be wise to find a gaming company to produce a game like Drake's Fortune (Kirk's Fortune anyone :) for the PS3/gaming consoles. Trek at it's heart is action adventure, with some problem solving. That's not my opinion, that's what GR wrote in the TOS and TNG bibles.

These new consoles have so much power, it's time to finally use them to realize a great, fun action adventure game in the Trek Universe!

I'm more concerned with it being a quality game and coming to my console of choice (the Wii). I'm still enjoying Star Trek Conquest and frankly surprised to be playing a Star Trek game on a modern console at all!

Depends on the movie. As far as the characters portrayed. But if it turns out to be another over done failed joystick slapping, starship killing game, they might as well not do one in the first place. I would consider a thought provoking adventure game, with limited combat.

One I hope not to see is "Star Trek: Lego" :)

A deep adventure game would be nice, and is highest on my wish list. Starflight genre with TOS ships and crews. Your ship gets faster and tougher as the crew levels up. Unravel the mystery. Scan and search the cosmos for the alien artifacts, blow up Klingons. Talk with strange new aliens. Wander the ship. Take a shuttlecraft down to the the planet. That would be awesome. Fractally generated planets like in Starflight, but obviously of much higher detail and geometry, particle effects, etc. You'd never want to beam down though. I think STO will eventually re-surface also. It looked like they got a solid start on it, and just imagine how much fan content something like that will generate.
