Huh? The 1:53 part of the trailer is clearly Picard himself, saying "home" right after Rios asks "where are you taking us?" Indeed, after freeze framing the whole trailer, I don't see Ducane anywhere in the trailer at all.Anybody catch the cameo by Ducane (of USS Relativity)? It's at 1:53 in the trailer.
I'm assuming it's the guy interviewing Picard at the desk near the end, the different versions of the trailers probably have slightly different run times.
Are we sure that's Jay Karnes?
I'm kind of negative on this. Hopefully the way things unfold will make sense. I mean why would Q change something and make them go back to unchange it?
Probably. They'd never give everything away in a trailer. The line in the trailer "Q ... went back in time and ... turned our world into a totalitarian nightmare" is actual made of up three different clips, if you listen closely (I've distinguished the clips with dots there).
So there's nothing to say for sure that Q actually is responsible, it may just be misdirection.
Why??? Treks past doesnt need to be exactly mike the real world past...Well they could push it ahead.
If it were on TNG or VOY, sure, but "Past Tense" was a DS9 two-parter, so all we'll get is an Easter Egg and nothing more. Not that I even want the Easter Egg for the reasons I said in the previous post.they might resolve the whole 90's future past we didn't actually get, from the look of it. i never felt it needed resolving but it might be fun
It clearly looks like a young picard. From the new timelineWho's the guy in the portrait that Picard is looking at, at about 1:00 in the trailer? Is it supposed to be younger Picard? Maybe Stargazer era?
sorry, i was not referring to the episode of that name. I used a poor choice of words. I meant the latter, the whole star trek's 90's Eugenics Wars, Dy-100's should exist now, Bell Riots in a few more years etc. The easiest way to handle it is just to say Star Trek is another timeline. The EASIEST easiest way to handle it is to say star trek is a show, and there was never a humpback whale aquarium in Sausalito in the 80's but we are fans and that cannot be right. If it were on TNG or VOY, sure, but "Past Tense" was a DS9 two-parter, so all we'll get is an Easter Egg and nothing more. The Eugenics Wars, World War III, and eventual First Contact are a different story.
