I voted "Good/Solid". It would have rated higher with me, but I thought the car chase scene was trite -- although I loved the rest of it.

Maybe that corvette scene will be more meaningful in the context of the film (and not just there for "portraying young Kirk as a kewl Rebel" purposes).

There's a lot to be worried about IMO.

Yes, global warming is a concern, and war in the Persian Gulf. But thank goodness we have diversions like the upcoming ST movie, which looks to be great!!!

Rumour is he's trying to run away from home. No, idea how accurate that piece of information is, but it does fit in with Kirks backstory for this continuity.

Good trailer. I was planning on waiting for DVD, but now plan on seeing it in the cinema. So all in all it has done its job. Its the first Trek trailer I've seen that makes the finished product look like an expensive film instead of a two-part episode on a bigger screen. Not loving Simon Peggs Scotty (who reminds me more of Alan Cumming than James Doohan) though nor the bridge/corridor sets.
