Disagree. If you're watching for the first time, watch from start to finish as God intended, warts and all. Voyager is about the journey, not the destination.

Last time I tried watching Real Life I fell asleep after the funny bits were over.

When I first saw this one, I have to admit to some eye-rolling, thinking "Oboy, this looks like a dumb one." Surprising to me later, when real tears streamed down my face seeing the Doc interacting with his dying daughter. I thought it was very, very moving. Even Lassie movies didn't get to me like this!

Though I'm giving Voyager another shot...I may not re-watch this one.

Oh I'm not saying it isn't great, emotional stuff is sometimes hit or miss with me. I think it was sad the first time I watched it but after that I was only watching the ep for the hilarity.

Oh and Melakon Spinal Tap was pretty great when I watched it years ago, not sure how it stand up but it's quite a piss take as I recall.

When tuvix called out for help.. and no one responded. Ugh. Then that final moment, when Janeway looks at tuvix, I guess wanting validation or acceptance, tuvix just glowers with a defeated presence but still defiant. He gave her no comfort.

Ugh. Janeway is a damn murderer. What's worse? Tuvix will probably not be remembered beyond this episode. This decision won't carry into the minds of other characters... life will go on without a care.
