The next series is going to be about the Insectoids, Aquatics, Mugato and the Gorn. And the entire run of the series will be in subtitles only, too.

Id like to read about some more concepts.
So i thought id put 1 up here myself, given the fact that it seems needed to shuffle the order as it has been for ages id set out to do the unthinkable...
Yes, starfleet/federation must suffer...
In short id suggest the following (mini) plot:
As voyager returnes to earth exitement quickly rizes... the newly found technology gives the federation such a jumpstart into the quadrant that some of the old enemies join forces to mimic obtain or destroy this now overwhelming power. Cardassians and romulans join forces with some other minor races, later to be joined by the ferengi. When talk about peace and sharing knowledge suffers at the hand of patriotic self interrest war is immonent, The cardassians together with their new allies found a new galactic order as a direct opposite to the federation. Trying to steal obtain or mimic the new technology they do the unthincable...
We join in deep inside the war, in what looks like a post appocoliptic quadrant, scattered destroyed. The fight is now one of open territory, lost technology, and rescources to be fought over. As starfleet hangs on the end of its lifespan a half destroyed starfleet command central hovers in space,
knocked out of the earths orbit. from its possition we get to vieuw our new crew being reduced to the old times of space pirateering, rules are easilly broken for the greater good, and fighting space scum is every day buissiness.
Could starfleet endure?
ferengi see this era as the era of one big quadrant full of free merchendise collecting stealing and selling junk to the highest bidder, even if within starfleet borders.
All races are tangled in a narrow line of cooperation and patriotc self interrest in rebuilding their races.
The federation is forced to rebuild, rethink and reshape what they had.
What happened at the time of the big bang? Can technology fix what was lost? Or is the quadrant now one big sitting duck for borg or previously encountered gamma quadrant scum?

If CBS were interested in making Star Trek at all, I would be surprised.

If there was any time we need Star Trek it's now. Trek has always been the ultimate forum to discuss the world's problems and boy, do we have plenty!
Any ideas why CBS doesn't kick the series to Gene's son, Rod? I've heard the kid talk and it sounds like he's got ideas just like his father.
Right now there is a fan series that the fans of said series are campaigning on Facebook to get the series turned into the sixth. They pretty much have a storyline planned out and the pilot has been released on their site. The website for this fan series is stphoenix.com. The series is set 42 years after the events of Nemesis in the Prime Timeline, which from doing a bit of reading on here seems to be what people are looking for in a new Star Trek series. Check it out, and go into viewing the pilot with an open mind about what these people have done because it will blow your mind. If you like it go ahead and follow them on Twitter, Facebook and even come join the campaign.
