New Star Trek $1.99 eBook Deals!

They're up on Google Play too. I got the Slings and Arrows books.
The cynic in me want's to say that this actually is a good business tactic. "Accidentally" give the people part one of an old trilogy at a reduced price, and if they're hooked they'll buy the other two for the original price.
I've noticed a lot of series actually do seem to do this, the first one or two books will be really cheap, like $1 or $2, but they get progressively more expensive until you get to the latest book which is usually the full paperback or hardcover price.

Was happy to see the Terok Nor trilogy on the list. Grabbed them up so that I could sell the paperbacks and reclaim that shelf space. Now the Vanguard series just has to get up there...

Perhaps, but the cynic in me is going to just chalk it up to a simple mistake! :)

But wait...

OK, you may be on to something there!

(BTW, for anyone considering it, go with this version instead:

Ah, damn I just purchased Rosetta last week for 22€... (Also I don't think these price changes apply to German Applestore)

Sorry, they are indeed U.S. prices only (I don't know an efficient way of searching other iBooks stores).

It looks like Rosetta did drop a little in Germany (to €19.99), but not by so much.
I think that's the normal eBook price, while the physical copy costs 22€.

I wonder when they added the books, because I tried that last week and it just gave me an error.
I already read the first two Khan books, and I own but haven't read the first Dark Matters book, so this will be a good opportunity to finish out those trilogies. I'll definitely get To Reign in Hell, but I'll want to at least start DM #1 before making a decision on the other two.

It was sometime today. I've had the page bookmarked and would check a couple times a day; I checked this morning and I got page not found.

I keep a journal where I write reviews of each book I read, as an ongoing project for my future self's enjoyment, and here's how I started my review for book 1:

"...well, I guess I’m committed to reading the rest of this, now. Crap. On the one hand, this does feel like – in some kind of first draft form – the first book of a real trilogy, not just one book spread out; this comes to a climax, solves its major problems, and then presents new challenges for the next novel. But if that’s the nicest thing I can say about it, that it doesn’t totally fail at structuring a story, then we’re not in for awesome news. Because on the other hand: nothing and no one makes any sense in this book at all, at any point."

Doesn't get much better from there.
