New Star Trek $1.99 eBook Deals!

The Star Ghost is the first book in the YA series following Jake and Nog. I loved those books when I was a kid.

This is interesting...

According to the StarTrekBooks.com eBook deals page for September, these books are also supposed to be $1.99:

  • Star Trek: The Badlands: Book One, by Susan Wright
  • Star Trek: The Badlands: Book Two, by Susan Wright
  • Star Trek: TNG: The Genesis Wave: Book One, by John Vornholt
  • Star Trek: TNG: The Genesis Wave: Book Two, by John Vornholt
  • Star Trek: TNG: The Genesis Wave: Book Three, by John Vornholt
And yet none of those are currently listed as $1.99 on the Canadian Kobo Store, nor Amazon.ca.

Actually, I noticed a quirk last month with that page. It listed the Voyager Dark Matters trilogy for a day or two, but the prices didn't drop to $1.99, and after a day or two they were gone from the list.

At least they do have some TOS stuff in there now.
Hmm, I have the first TNG Domion War book, and the first Badlands book, I wonder if I should pick up the second ones. I've actually had them since they first came out but never read beyond the first chapter or two of each.

Badlands is solid but unremarkable, the very definition of average.

I think I've seen similar reactions to those ones around here in the past.
I actually just added the DW and TB books to my bookcase where I keep stuff I plan on reading. It seems like now might be a good time to give them another try. I already own them, so I might as well read them.

October deals aren't up yet; just delayed, or were they just offering them until the anniversary month?

Now I'm glad I didn't buy the Slings & Arrows books when I was looking at them earlier this week.

Wow this is what I was hoping would happen during this sale year. Still like buying a full price print omnibus of the series but really a one time only oppurtunity for it not to be outrageously expensive.

Man, I checked that before posting; they must've updated it right after.

Good selection for the month, but I'm not seeing them on Amazon yet!
The old promotion runs until October 4th, so the new one will probably start on the 5th.

Ahhh, ok. I've never noticed that in other months; it always seemed to me that the new deals were up on the 1st. I even remember one month they were up a few days early!

I have just changed september to october in the last link and got this:

Great find, Defcon! :techman:

seems like Slings & Arrows, Terok Nor and Janus Gate will be the October deals

And... Book 1 (only) of the Millennium Trilogy? That's just mean!

(Note to startrekbooks.com... "The Fall of Terok Nor" is not part of the "Terok Nor" series! ;) )

Yes! I've been waiting a long time to read this, and it'll be nice to get the entire series for $12, instead of the usual $48! :D

The cynic in me want's to say that this actually is a good business tactic. "Accidentally" give the people part one of an old trilogy at a reduced price, and if they're hooked they'll buy the other two for the original price.
