New Star Trek $1.99 eBook Deals!

Too bad I've read all those and own most of them. Maybe next month will be better for me. Awesome that they are doing this.

Thanks for the heads up, JoeP!

I haven't gotten around to reading the VOY books yet; I own all the paperbacks but I'm still going to purchase the ebook versions.

Since Pocket Full of Lies is the only Voy-KBR book I don't have yet, I was a little disappointed it wasn't included in the sale, but I guess they must not want to put books that recent on sale.

I've informed other Voyager fans about this Voyager novels sale and a few of them already related they've promptly bought at least one of those Ebooks promoted, or more. I though have almost all from before, oh well!

Heynow, latest deals for June are up now!

w00t! Thanks for the heads-up! It's not technically even June here yet! :D

The April sale included Star Trek: Enterprise: Rise of the Federation: Live by the Code, which only came out at the end of March. (But by a similar token, it's too bad that Klingon Empire: A Burning House wasn't included in the sale with the IKS Gorkon novels. But I don't think I'm gonna complain, because I'm just really pleased with these deals in general! :D)

I noticed a bunch of the Trek anthologies are on sale now for $3.99 as well...several of the Strange New Worlds anthologies, Prophecy and Change, Mirror Universe Shards and Shadows, etc. I'm really happy to see S&S selling ebooks for under $5. This is enabling me to clear old paperbacks and reclaim some space. Getting the two Avatar books and the four Mission Gamma books for a great price was sweet.

Weird, I'm not seeing those prices...

I am. Maybe it's amazon.ca that doesn't have them? I'm definitely thinking of getting the anthologies to clear space. And it's just easier to read on my Kindle than hunch over those big books with a magnifier.

I checked both .ca and .com; even now I'm seeing Prophecy and Change for $17.97 on .com. So weird...

Hmm... I couldn't find those prices at the Kobo store, or Amazon.ca or .com, either. But they are there on barnesandnoble.com. I wonder if they will make it to other retailers, too? Are Nook books ePub? Now that Trek eBooks are DRM-free, can I buy them from B&N and side-load them to my Kobo?

I just checked Amazon.com (searched the Kindle store for "Star Trek" and then sorted by "Price: Low to High") and once you get in the $3.99 range a ton of anthologies and omnibuses show up.

Many of the Strange New Worlds volumes, Prophecy and Change, one of the Worlds of DS9 volumes, a couple Signature edition omnibuses, Enterprise Logs, the Mirrorverse anthology, a few novels, and, the best deal that I snatched up, the Rihannsu omnibus for four bucks!

How bizarre...

Enterprise Logs, Kindle Edition... $13.48
Prophecy and Change, Kindle Edition... $17.97
Bloodwing Voyages, Kindle Edition... $15.31

(I actually took screenshots from Amazon.com for each of these, but Photobucket is being a jerk and I can't upload them at the moment.)

Do I sense IP-address-based shenanigans?

I want a $4 Bloodwing Voyages! :scream:

I noticed the other day on Amazon USA that the DS9 multi-novels book Twist of Faith was only $3.99 (including Avatar 1 & 2 plus a few other titles) and that was an even better deal than the Avatar books at $1.99 each, so I got that for Kindle then saw here there were more titles for $3.99 so looked and sure enough 6 of the Strange New World anthologies are that price, and also some other anthology type books like Tales from the Captains' Table, so can also state this new "sale" seems to be happening, at least for me. Now I have to decide what to get since even at "just" $4 a book, $ spent can add up, lol.

These Voyager prices are enough to get me to convert from my PB copies and save some shelf space.

I have too much sentimental attachment to Avatar to do the same - I was so excited for the relaunch when Mary P. Taylor on the old psiphi boards said there were copies for sale (early) in a Downtown Chicago bookstore I left work early and drove down there to get one.

I just looked up Prophecy and Change on the Google Play website and it's $3.99, and the results also included Shards and Shadows for $3.99, Constellations for $11.99 and Distant Shores, The Sky's The Limit, The Lives of Dax, and the Millenium omnibus all for $8.99. I think most of these books are usually between $10 - $20 so some of those aren't quite as much of a deal as the novels, but it's still something.
I just checked the Strange New Worlds books too:
I - $8.99
II - $8.99
III - $3.99
IV - $8.99
V - $3.99
VI - $3.99
VII - $14.99
VIII - $3.99
IX - $3.99
X - $3.99

Apparently Google Play and Amazon aren't listing the same price for some of these. For example, I picked up the Millennium omnibus for $3.99 at the Kindle store today.

That was my mistake, the $8.99 book was the third book in the trilogy, not the omnibus. I didn't see the individual title when I saw the book, so I thought was just the omnibus.
So I guess that means right now you can get the omnibus for less than half the price of one of the individual books.

I just got The Sky's The Limit. That one's been almost $20, so this was a pretty good deal.

Totes jealous!

I tried Googling this:

Are Nook books ePub? Now that Trek eBooks are DRM-free, can I buy them from B&N and side-load them to my Kobo?

And I'm getting conflicting answers. Some sources seem to say Nook uses ePub, but some are saying it's proprietary.

Does anyone know... now that Trek eBooks are DRM free, can I convert & load a Nook book to my Kobo through calibre, without breaking any laws?
