new pics for S7 (spoilers about a foe's return)

Now that's a Dalek!

am I the only one who thinks, that this is going to look really cheap and tacky, when compared to modern Daleks, and god forbid you be watching in HD.

I need to stop worrying about these things.

In the 'End of Time', the 10th Doctors mentions the 'Skaro Degradations' as one of the many Time War horrors, so clearly Skaro is inthe Time war somehow and not destroyed, unless its New Skaro or something.

looks like they dragged that one out of a cupboard from the 1970s!

I dunno. I think the grey and blue goes all the way back to Hartnell.

Yep - originally the Daleks were silver with blue globes. That one is in a colour scheme from a 1967 episode.

They first appear with the dark grey-blue look and black globes in Day Of The Daleks (1972), and also had that look in Planet (1973) Genesis (1975) and Destiny (1979). They're silver with black globes in Death (1974), and then throughout the 80s have different shades of grey-blue with black globes, and eventually white with black (Revelation) or gold (Remembrance) globes

The Time War has certainly been losing meaning every time more Daleks appear.

What good was the war if Skaro managed to survive or be saved after the fact?

And yet, the Timelords & Gallifrey are still lost.

I will admit that publicity shot took me by surprise! Heh, heh, the thing's so dusty, I didn't realize that it possessed the black dome of an Emperor's guard. n I knew it wasn'y a "Dead Planet" Dalek as it has slats instead of the two large bands, and since it does not have the tall, rounded "bumper", I knew it wasn't an "Invasion Earth" model, either. But that dome's so dusty, I thought it was metallic "silver".

Sincerely,

Bill

Dalek Storm...that's the one that was conceptualized for the aborted "Dark Dimensions" production and the design later "refined" by MechMaster, which, in turn, served as the primary reference for building a full scale prop, right? It has two friggin' huge side mounted cannons (making the Special Weapons Dalek look diminutive in comparison), no?

Or am I confusing it for something else?

Sincerely,

Bill

I have MechMaster's digital model of that kick-a$$ travel machine. It looks like it could blast Nelson's Column into orbit!

Sincerely,

Bill

Dang, having to face that one would really make someone soil their shorts

Holy mother of meatballs!

That's the first Dalek I've ever seen that actually scares me. Look at that finish ... the attention to detail!
