So, wait...does this mean Picard won’t tie into GENESIS or SHADES OF GREY!
TO HELL WITH THIS SERIES! Hope it fails!
If it means bringing Dr. Pulaski back, then I'm all for it!

Maybe Data was only very recently fixed by Geordi & associates given the damage his body suffered and assuming he found some left over pieces of data along with using B4's backup of Data's memory. He's calling him Captain, when he retired as an Admiral. Data would stick to his former rank.
And the collar doesn't seem to match with the uniform the admiral is wearing, and the grey is too dark.
Geordi might be interacting with a holographic representation of Data as they fix Data's body.Maybe Data was only very recently fixed by Geordi & associates given the damage his body suffered and assuming he found some left over pieces of data along with using B4's backup of Data's memory.
Data 2.0 might be freshly booted up and still recovering from thinking it's right before the ST:Nemesis time frame or adjusting and stuck in the old uniform.
With this vastly improved holotech, I hope sentient hologram rights aren't a big issue in ST:P.So many are speculating that the android in the drawer must be Data. Folks, Data was standing 3 feet from a fusion explosion that atomized a very large spacecraft. He was RIGHT NEXT to the explosion. That wouldn't just blow off his head and arms for Geordi to tape back on later. Data's sacrifice would be completely negated if he somehow miraculously survives. We MUST be seeing the B4. Spiner's comment about playing Data must refer to a hologram or an upgrade to the B4. Personally, I'm betting that Data is downloaded from the B4 into a holodeck of some kind because he has some vital info that Picard needs. That tech would have come a long way since the EMH and Vic Fontaine.
Perhaps Leah Brahms got pissed at him one time too many and swapped out her program for Data.Geordi might be interacting with a holographic representation of Data as they fix Data's body.
For those saying we won't get deep cuts of Trek lore (especially Voyager lore), wasn't it Kirsten Beyer who developed the first pitch of the show that they presented to Stewart. Wouldn't her involvement argue that there will likely be many deep cuts for Trek and especially Voyager?

All we know for sure at this point is that it is B4 in the drawer...
Actually, we don't even know that for a fact, do we? Maybe it's Lore in that drawer.
Yep, I watched that video, that's what he said.Well, it's been a few days now but viewing the trailer is still astonishing. It was a great reveal... as an old fan, I feel well fed from this well crafted marketing.
I still remember how I felt when I recognized Seven of Nine and thought... holy shit they are not only using the TNG colors of the Trek palette, but presumably the whole spectrum of the TNG/DS9/VOY era. It makes so much sense for Picard and Seven to know each other... of course there will be an off-camera scene where Janeway introduces them shortly after the events of Endgame.
DS9 fans should be next in line expecting something this delicious to eat... so much they could do with a miniseries from any handful of characters, even without Avery being involved.
What floors me the most I how interested/invested I am already in the new Picard characters. I'm stoked to see old faces, but these new ones look promising too.
It's funny to see Picard in the command chair of what appears to be a huge cargo area/freighter bay behind him!
Didn't watch the panel, but read some comments that suggest that Spiner clarified that he is playing Data in the Picard series, with the B4 parts sitting there in the drawer. If anyone can verify this, please do.
Spiner said it was B4 in there.Actually, we don't even know that for a fact, do we? Maybe it's Lore in that drawer.
