NEW ONGOING TREK CROSSOVER SERIES BEGINS OCTOBER 2022

The Theseus design sort of reminds of one of the Defiant concept designs.

New art by Ramon Rosanas suggests Worf could be the [ Redacted ] Tactical Officer in the core Trek series.

I'm thinking either Scotty or Leah Brahms as Chief Engineer, probably the former.

Reverting him to the job he had earlier in his career? That's like the movies putting Chekov back at navigation after he's already been a first officer. It makes no sense career-wise and devalues the character's growth.

Well, I wouldn't tie character growth into job role, and if he is Security Chief/Tactical Officer of the Theseus, then he's off onto the Defiant in three issues time anyways.

This is the post with the pic:

But the point is that it's unrealistic to expect someone in the military to regress to a role they held at a lower rank. Worf was strategic operations officer for an entire sector of space. Going back to tactical officer on a single starship is not a realistic career progression. It's effectively a demotion.

There are people who get paid to vet tie-ins for approval. It's not optional, it's their job.
I was speaking with hyperbole, but do they ever eventually say, “hey guys, you’ve been doing this Mirror Universe stuff for almost five years now and it ain’t working like you want?”

Copying over for future record:

An interesting ship design for sure. The uniform designs are growing on me, the right shoulder patch is interesting and the stripe down the left pants leg is strikingly different.

HOWEVER, I've always hated that design of phaser rifle. It's too simplistic.
