New image and new trailer (almost)

I'm blind!!!!!

Actually leaving Miss Gillian behind for a moment (but just a moment) I have to say that one of the things I find amazing about Smith is how different he looks from one picture to the next. In some he looks very ordinary while in others he has a sort of catwalk model handsomeness to him, then in the next shot he looks like Skeletor! Sometimes he looks rugged and heroic, other times geeky and uncomfortable. Frankly if his performance has half the range that his looks do we could be in for quite a ride!

Ha ha, I've noticed that too. I've started a sculpt, and I've had the hardest time trying to figure his face out. When you look at him from an angle, he looks like a fairly handsome college kid or something. But straight on and he suddenly looks a LOT stranger and weirder. lol

From the interview they sounded like they had a few drinks beforehand to quill the nerves.

A little dissapointed with the Matt/David shots. Guess I was hoping for something a bit more formal, like all the pics of David and Peter Davison that floated around after Timecrash rather than quick snaps.

But hey, I'll take what I can get. Thanks for posting!

Fantastic, I think I've got a new wallpaper too!

I don't usually have people as my desktop image, I have made an exception for the image of Karen and now have her as my background

the robotic looking thing is called a 'Smiler'. other than that... i know nothing.

It appears to have two faces - happy and very, very angry - the head switches - presumably it lures you in with a smile and, when you're too close, turns round to reveal his true intentions...

It's the symbolic head of Doctor Who fandom.

;)

Moffatt said something similar about his looks in SFX. sometimes he looks handsome, sometimes weird.

Thats what i was going to say.

Yeah, Smith, according Moffat is an ex boxer aswell, and you can see that in some shots as he has the nose of a boxer.

but yeah, he has such a wide range of looks to that face its astounding, and he doesnt even hold his face in a different way, its one of those faces that have every expression imprinted on it at the same time and the different angles and lighting make it seem different all the time. For some reason it works.

Thats a good few page spread in the new SFX though.
Besides, the 3D cover rocks.

Do costume designers routinely pick the underwear the characters wear? Unless there's an episode where you actually see the Doctor in briefs...
