Yeah. It was the late-1970's/early 1980's. I remember that because I was about 10 and caught a form of the flu that winter. Like Trekker says, I never get inoculated (except when I was in the Navy) and I've had the flu about 4 times since I was 25. Uh...no. Research indicates that AIDS originated in west/central Africa during the late 19th/early 20th century.
Weighed against the losses businesses will make if this bug becomes rampant around our cities, I think caution now would make better economical sense in the long term.
