New Christmas Special thread

Is it coing to be a clip from the special like we had for The Next Doctor and The End of Time, or just a trailer like we had for A Christmas Carol?

So... "The Doctor, The Widow and The Wardrobe". like it! :techman:

And going by the trailer, seems the rift on Narnia isn't just the title.

And I think that's really cool. With A Christmas Carol Moffat has started a trend towards making the Christmas specials a tie in of sorts with a famous book. So assuming the plot isn't just a rehash (and we know it won't be as I don't remember aliens in CS Lewis' novel) I think it'll be cool.

Looking forward to it. And now that the BBC has confirmed the Dec. 25 airdate (as if they'd actually air it any other night!) I assume BBC America and Space will probably confirm their airdates in short order. Will probably depend on whether they have any marathons planned for Christmas Day itself; I'm expecting Dec. 26 for the Canadian broadcast as they tend to devote the 25th to things like Planet of the Apes and Star Trek marathons.

Yeah Space will probably have it Boxing Day as part of a Doctor Who Marathon. I believe this is what they did last year with "A Christmas Carol".

Looks brilliant! I loved Moffat's take on A Christmas Carol last year and I highly anticipate his take on The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe. The trailer looks fantastic and I already sense the Narnia-feel to the episode.

It's interesting to note there's no sign of Amy and Rory in the trailer, so I'm guessing they have a small part in the episode (if the on-set photos are to be believed that they're in it).

Is it me or was there what looks like a classic BSG Cylon in that trailer (39 seconds in)?
I thought the same thing.

Yes. Bill Bailey is self described, when wearing a head mic, as looking like "a Kilingon motivational speaker". Named his daughter Dax, too.

The trailer looks really cool! I also noticed the absence of the Ponds, though I wasn't upset about it. I'm looking forward to this one a lot. :)
