I'll certainly hold making an animated Trek series against them.
Why? There’s nothing wrong about that.
What I'm assuming @Relayer1 means is that he holds the same standards toward a Trek animated series as he does toward a Trek live-action series.
Yeah, I'd expect a Trek animation to be up to the standard of other Trek, and to complicate matters, I've never liked a serious animated TV show. At all.

I've watched (and purchased) TAS, The Clone Wars and one or two other things for completeness sake, but I don't really like them very much.

It's not that I'm entirely anti animation - there's a bunch of animated movies I've enjoyed, but I've never thought much of animated serialised storytelling for an adult(ish) audience. It's generally crappy.

I've got zero enthusiasm for any animated Trek and really wish they wouldn't.

Maybe my preconceptions will be confounded...

They're already on - quite a few mistakes, but Ephraim is very cute and sweet.

There is a very odd scene where the saucer has rotated away from facing forward, and it's the A that's destroyed in SFF over the Genesis planet

And the only preview we see for Children of Mars shows...
...a girl in a red uniform bullying another girl in the same uniform in a library that looks contemporary, with regular books.

I just watched Girl who Made the Stars. The animation was beautiful, but it had nothing to do with Star Trek. It could have been any generic story.

Edit:

That was Michael Burnham? That does change my opinion for the better, but it was still kinda forgettable.

Both were terrible. Not the animation. The stories. I especially did not like the first short trek. Do they know the canon, at all? The Naked Now occurred before the Space Seed, and the Enterprise interior was changed for the refit.

I saw references to "Who Mourns for Adonais?", "The Doomsday Machine", and "The Savage Curtain". Maybe "The Trouble with Tribbles", as well.

So, the tardigrade eggs will not hatch for years. How does the species survive?

I fully agree - nice selection of TOS moments, and very cute tardies.

The end kinda reminded me of Wall-E and Eve. Through something so sad like the Enterprise self destructing, a Tardigrade is reunited with it's family. Makes me see TSFS in a new light now.

Probably the same way the Horta do.
One lone survivor watches over the eggs for centuries till they hatch and a new generation carries on.

It certainly had more than its share of TOS Easter eggs in it.
I'd give it a 6 if there were a poll.
I still don't really care for all the changes They made to the Enterprise.
Oh well, I guess after awhile it'll grow on me.

Just watched this. Pretty fun. This is the type of thing I could see being played right before a movie begins at the theater. I was thinking, "Where are my ridiculously overpriced Twizzlers and Coke while I watch this?"

EDIT: There's no poll option for me. I liked them both equally for different reasons.

So, they're using the Discovery Enterprise with TOS interiors and uniforms. Nerd alert, but as others have pointed out, that shot looking into Sickbay isn't possible. I thought sickbay was in the center of the ship in a safe place?
