New 2017 titles and blurbs - DTI, McCormack DS9, and more!

I would love to see more Sisko novels. I love when Trek branches off on side adventures rather than just follow the race to 2387. It must be nice for the authors to have a blank palette to work with for once.

I've added Original Sin to the small list of Trek books I'm looking forward to, along with Fighting Fire With Fire, and Desperate Hours - looking forward to seeing if the DS9: Gamma brand will be as exciting as the Mission Gamma brand back during the "Season 8" heyday.

I thought it was in testing they had Ds9 Gamma posted on the cover of the book.. It would be great to have books that Ben Sisko exploring the Gamma quadrant like Mission Gamma books did With Vaughn and the Defiant crew.

Yeah but they already have both Enterprise and Titan (and also Aventine now that I think of it),spinning their wheels.Enough exploratory ships I would have thought.
As to the race to 2387...
Never mind.

I might be really late on this, but the English version of Prometheus Fire with Fire is up for pre-order on Amazon.

So he looped back around to fill in the Ascendant story, and now he's looping back around to fill in the Rebecca-Ohalavaru story. Fair enough I suppose. I haven't hugely enjoyed the last few DRG3 books, but I suppose I'll probably still get this anyway.

I do agree though that the DS9 line is too scattered and disjointed these days. Everyone is off having their individual adventures and there's very little time spent with all our old friends together. Sisko's on the Robinson, Kira's on her spiritual journey, Dax is on Aventine, Bashir's on his own mission, Nog's on his own mission, Quark gets his own stories that barely feature anyone else... There doesn't seem to be a great deal of editorial oversight to keep everything in line, everyone's just off doing their own thing.

I do miss the big ensemble adventures, but then I like that each character is getting their focus and they're not just trying to shoehorn in other people just for the sake of them being there.

Same here, but I feel like that we're going to eventually get a great payoff book where the original cast is brought together for a single adventure. Let's hope for it together, everyone.

My only frustration is the way the novels are released, they seem to be released out of chronological sequence at times.

^ Yeah, they're usually pretty good at releasing TNG and Titian in chronological order but since The Fall DS9 has been a nightmare chronologically speaking.
