Never seen TOS scenes...again....

It's back.

I also used a different lighting effect for the nacelle domes to be distinctive from the spinning lights of the TOS era. Of course the actual E filming models didn't actually have any working lights during production of "The Cage." However, I would be much better served by using a Polar Lights Enterprise since it is much more accurate and properly proportioned. It must be said that while I like doing enhanced shots of TOS I'm not fond of it looking like TOS-R. I much prefer trying to get a look that evokes the feeling, "Geez. What if TOS had magically had the state-of-art resources of '60's era feature film production?"

In the interim here's a little revisit of some images I've done in the past that I think came off rather well.

A Master Replica's Enterprise and a screencap from the '66 film Fantastic Voyage and presto. Note I darkened the ship to reflect the idea that all but major systems are off all over the ship.

A MR E and a screencap from Forbidden Planet.

An enhanced scene for "The Corbomite Maneuver" destroying the alien cube.
TOS-EN2.jpg

This looks more like a painting than a screencap.

And one of my favourites, What if "The Cage' bridge design had been kept?

Why Captain Christopher really a WTF expression on his face.

One thing I found quite odd about the AA replica. To my eye it looks regular light grey, but when photographed the grey took on a touch of green hue and the dorsal a hint of light blue (as you can see) just as I believe it was supposed to look onscreen in The Cage.

Weird.

Oh, and it looks like Batman hitching a ride on the port nacelle.

I'm very glad you've resurrected this, Warped9. I loved it the first go around. I think from those the 'transfer of command' and Andorian female crewmen were my favorites of those I think.

On the new one with the AA Enterprise, I quite like the subtle lighting effect you've used. It appears to have taken considerable effort to change that picture. I may have missed it, but what software are you using?

Warped9, I ran across this old picture today on my computer, of Kirk looking at his first command. Did you do this?

Interesting picture, but how does Kirk get from the drydock to the Enterprise? Boarding Tube, Travel Pod, Shuttlecraft, Transporter, or Thrustersuit?

By the way, thanks Warped9 for all of your creative work. I have enjoyed it for about 4 years.

Yes, I did do this some years ago.

My thinking was that Kirk actually hadn't stepped aboard yet.

Currently I'm trying to work out a Pike and April meeting. For some reason I've got Stephen Boyd in mind for April and I've got Fantastic Voyage on dvd to get screencaps from.

I like it! Very well done...Brava/Bravo!! Love the transfer of command especially. Good Work.

I quite like this newly unearthed image.

Regarding Pike and April's meeting, I think Stephen Boyd wold make a good April.

You could also always use Roddenberry as others have done. :p
