Maybe he's really a Deltan.
*Sigh*... well, it was a nice secret plot line we had once...Maybe Nero is embittered that he has lost his hair and goes back in time to kill Kirk because he's always been jealous of him having a full set of hair. The ironic twist will be Nero discovering that Kirk has worn a toupee for MANY years.

Or maybe the character isn't really bald, but he has to wear some kind of makeup job for which it was more convinient to be bald. Who knows?
That was my first thought. But really, if he ends up actually being bald who cares?

Speaking of which, it also looks (from what I can see) that Bana's eyebrows are *not* shaved.
