Nemesis link

I was on a website months ago and I was reading about how in the latest Trek movie there was a scene in which R2D2 was floating in the wreckage (as an inside joke) of Federation ships over Vulcan when the Enterprise arrived. You'd have to basically freeze the frame at the right moment, and zoom in tight to see it, but I was thinking about that. What if they changed that a little and give that scene more meaning. As we know in Nemesis Data was blown up along with the Semitar. What if during the time when Spock Prime created the black hole, Data's head which had been floating around also went thru that black hole, or some variation on it like Spock Prime found the head and carried it with him, or maybe even Nero carried it with him both going thru the black hole. I know that more than likely Data was blown to a million bits and I know that Data's head should still be underground in San Francisco, but it's not totally unreasonable to think Data's head was chopped off but still intact. So it comes back in time and for arguments sake let's say Spock brought it with him in his ship and it he gave it to Jim Kirk to keep on board the Enterprise to show things to come or something, but basically it links all the Treks together and leaves open other options for the TNG side of things...what do you think?? And I did post this in the other forum too. :)

1. I hope you're joking. Or give me some of that LDS you've got.

2. Easter eggs are not meant to be taken seriously.

3. You extrapolated about Data's head from R2D2? Two things that have nothing to do with each other?

I get it about the Easter eggs. Forget R2D2. I'm saying what if Data's head from the explosion of the Scimitar somehow was found or made it's way into the black hole that was used to go through time which could open other options? Do you get what I mean?? Forget R2D2 and easter eggs, but it's a thought...as crazy as that may seem...

Your whole theory is based on the presumption that somehow, Data's head (never mind his body) somehow survived an explosion that should have basically atomized Data in total, and that said head would be in exactly the same point in space where Spock opened the black hole seven years later, all for the sake of explaining an Easter egg. Do you know how astronimically impossible that would be?

Yes. As I said before I know that he was blown into a million bits, but in the Trek universe anything is possible. It was just a thought. :)

That was... quite an idea you had...

It was just a thought really. I mean it's apparently a pretty bad one by all the comments that I got..hehe! I just thought that maybe if his head somehow wasn't blown to bits and it was recovered by Spock Prime or went through the black hole it would have been kinda neat if it made it's way on the Enterprise and was carried on board and would be able to be used as part of a storyline at some point or something like that. Silly, I know, but it's a Trek universe. Spock once said there are always...possibilities. :)

Well to be fair, the only comments you got were from me. For all I know, there are tons of TrekBBS'ers out there that thought your idea was uberkewl but didn't speak up.:)

HEHE....Hey, well at least you are honest! I respect that!! I don't know I guess I'm just not ready to give up the TNG era movies so I was grasping at straws to make sure the TNG era echoes thru time long after Star Trek '09 has faded into a dim memory. :) <----now where have I heard that line before?? :)
