Need help with some Trek stuff

Hello all. I recently inherited some Star Trek paperbacks and VHS episodes and movies. Most of the VHS stuff is official copies, but some of it is recorded copies. What I want to know is this: is it worth my time to go through all of this stuff to find out what is here and try to sell it all?

The VHS tapes are worthless. You might get something for the books at a used book store. Don't expect to get rich.

That is what I was thinking, I just don't know the fandom demand for this kind of stuff. Here are a couple pictures of the items in question.
Most of those books look too well-read for a used book store to take them (unless they're not too picky).

The City on the Edge of Forever fotonovel is worth more than the others if it's in decent shape; at least that's the impression I get based on what people are asking for it on eBay. There were only 12 of those ever published, and they weren't around very long. And you might want to see if Trek or Treat would appeal to anyone. I bought mine when it was first published, and of course back then we didn't have personal computers, let alone the internet with all the captioning sites that are around now.

But the rest of it (including the official VHS tapes) would best be donated to a charity sale or library, in my opinion. Once upon a time they'd have been worth something, but most people don't have VCRs anymore. Only a die-hard must-have-everything collector would want them, but good luck finding someone like that, even on a Star Trek site like this one.

Thanks! I'll check out the two items you mentioned. :)

You might try reading some of the books. Who knows, you might enjoy them.

A Goodwill or AmVets thrift store might accept the tapes as a donation, but even that's not a sure thing. I'm pretty sure a public library would not accept gifts of VHS nowadays.

I recently threw away seasons 3 and 4 VHS tapes of TNG, I don't know if was a smart thing to do, but I don't need them anymore.
