Admiral
When a petty officer is found murdered, Gibbs learns about the mysterious connection between the disbanding of his team and the case.

Nice to have the show back (and to actually be watching it as it airs, rather than catching up after the fact). Pretty cool twist at the end, too, even though I guessed it halfway through--like I do with most episodes. Oh well, I watch the show for the cast, not the mysteries.

All I have to say is... Of COURSE the Chinese girl is evil. :p

And what happened to the other McGee? They didn't even bother with him.

Hmm... I thought the new team was supposed to be around for longer than that. I wonder if it would actually work in context with the show if they retroactively made Palmer the bad guy.

I guess Ausiello was right... this wasn't a House level reboot. Too bad, because it would have at least made the show different for a while.

To me it seems that it was a bit wasted. The idea is nice, taking the team apart to bring the others together, but pulling it over the summer break made it a bit lame in my eyes. If they did it a few weeks in, have the real team gone for a week or maybe over a mid season break cliff-hanger (have them mess up a case to justify it or what ever), then run this story slower it could have been better. Getting rid of the team and thing bring them right back 15 mins into the show makes it pointless really, and things that you do at the end of the season like that really should be big, not a fake move like this.

Dunno, could just be me having only just got done watching the whole series a couple weeks ago that warping the time passage in the show.

That's the thing with the show, the cliffhangers are usually pointless. I think Bellesario is still hanging around the writer's room. :p

Two words: Ziva's legs. (not to mention Ziva's everything else). The show was good too.
Her back...

Me likey Cote
:)

I would have liked to have seen the new team for a while...
I did like having McGee have the other cyber-nerds call him "boss"

I certainly thought that LaPaglia was going to be around for a few eps, especially when they made such a deal about him last season

As for the "new McGee," they do need a 4th team member, maybe he'll stick around for a few eps

They should put Ziva in sexy outfits more often! Way too obvious that Agent Lee was the baddie. Oh, well...NCIS is pretty obvious most of the time. The fun almost always comes from character interactions. I thought the new team would be there for at least two episodes so I was shocked they were gotten rid of so quickly.

Fairly straightforward, and the bad guy (girl) wasn't too hard to spot, although I did think that LaPaglia was the bad guy for a while. In my defense, going with the Most Obvious Villain (TM) is usually fairly safe territory with this show. However, as a few people have said before, this show is great because of its characters, not so much its mysteries.

Frankly, I thought that making Lee the villain was a nice move. I can't wait to see where this goes, because the inevitable episode of Gibbs Justice will be, and I predict this now, ball-bustingly awesome.

Well I liked it. Call me stupid, but I honesty didn't see the final twist coming. Thought Lee was too nice to be . This looks like a start of a decent story arc here. But she's merely the minion. I wonder who her text-messaging Master is?

Can't wait until Gibbs finds out. And Jimmy, too - sorry dude, she was only banging you for server access. :p

Great to have NCIS back. And Ziva seriously needs to go under cover more often.

I love how everyone always says it's so obvious what they do... It's a fun show, and I enjoy the story... But if it's so obvious, I would like to see these people post who the villain is as soon as they know...

The thing is, I'm 99% sure they don't know who it is.
I hope I'm wrong, but I'm really cynical about these things now. Blame Lost for ruining my expectations for American television writing.

I'm glad to have MOST of the team back, but Tony is still on the RR. It was different to see McGee getting major respect for a change. In an earlier ep Lee helped take out Chinese slavers, so we know she can speak Chinese, but I hope she isn't a Chinese operative. Any guesses on who she's really working for?
