Well, we got to see Gibbs kill Hernandez. It's framed bit different from what we saw in the original series. Gibbs is wearing different clothes, and he shoots him from the side, not from behind.
But they shot the scenes with Hernandez at the same location as they did in the original.

And just an FYI, next week will be the fall finales for both shows, and both will also be Christmas episodes. After that, OG and Origins return January 27 and season 2 of Sydney will premiere January 31.
I'm sorry, but... "Origins"? Do we get stories with Gibbs, before he was... GIbbs-Gibbs, I mean the boss of his team?

A story about the NIS? Awesome. Who's playing Gibbs? And who's Mike Franks? I doubt, they will get the old actors.
Gibbs is Austin Stowell. Franks is Kyle Schmid of Being Human, Blood Ties, Six and Copper fame. Everyone is saying Franks is the highlight of the show.

Franks and Dominguez are the ones carrying the show. Ironically, Gibbs might be the least interesting character in the Origins cast.

Maybe they weren't planning on having him around for very long and he was supposed to get killed or transferred or turn in his badge sometime during the season. Meanwhile, the deep cut legacy character (Vera) is a regular but not in every episode.
Tony was in every episode of season 1 of 24 as a guest star.
Interesting Sydney season 2 opener in multiple ways. Looking forward to more adventures.
- Colonel Rankin had a recently fitted heart pacemaker with an implanted listening device - and likely was blackmailed about his family/kids to kidnap JD's kid among other things.
- Mackey had a kid at 17, who lives with her Mom.
Given Mackey said she was 17 when her son was born, who is himself now 18, that means Mackey is 35. Which makes her older than Olivia Swann, who is currently 32.
