The NCIS team is called in to investigate the death of a reverend's enlisted son, and they soon realize he may have been the victim of a hate crime. Meanwhile, Gibbs tries to figure out why his father had a sudden change of behavior when he comes to visit during the holidays.

The team must put their holiday decorations on hold to investigate a Marine's death by his cell phone blowing up. They begin to realize that they need to locate his former unit to protect them from further explosions.

I liked tonight's episode of NCIS. :) I thought it was cute and very Christmasy..but there was just one issue with it-the plot development for the crime was extremely slow for my tastes. Is it just me or did Tony look especially hot this evening in his blue shirt? God that man makes my toes curl! There was at one point of time in the episode where he was out in the snow, complaining about how cold he was..I was thinking to myself: "What I would give to be the one to warm his fine ass up!" Be my luck he would say "no thank you" though. :( *sighs heavily* Anyhow, I don't watch NCIS: LA so I will just comment on NCIS episodes..guess the next one won't be on until after the holidays are over! That's a long ass time to wait me thinks!

For being a Christmas episode, that was quite depressing to have one family lose two sons like that.

What happened to the spinoff? They finally remembered that it's still part of NCIS?!?

I liked NCIS. It was good to see Gibbs's dad again (he played Booth's grampa on "Bones" too earlier this season). I also liked that scene at the end where Tony finally gives Doris (or whatever her name was) her present. It was kinda moving. And McGee with the kid at the end was cool. And not that it matters on this show usually, but I pegged the killer the moment the character appeared on the screen. I don't know if it was the attitude or the expression on the face, but whatever it was it just screamed "Hello, I'm the killer!" :D

Yeah, that was laughably obvious. But it's not like anyone watches NCIS for the mysteries.

So do you think Gibbs' daughter's bicycle has been in front of the TV this entire time?

don't think it was his daughters (too big).

And now Xmas is over the for NCIS gang, will Gibbs go back to working on boats or what's next for his basement?

NCIS - Good episode, not great but good. It's a pleasure to see Gibbs' dad again.

NCISLA - Good episode, and to be honest it was the first episode since the pilot that has been able to hold my interest.

I spotted the killer right off, too. You know why? The camera stayed on him a couple of beats too long for a loved one.

I soooo loved seeing Dad again, too. I thought the incident that left him an emotional mess was so sad ... And Santa McGee, Tony Claus and the Gibbs elves were just great. :)

It's funny, the events with his dad... I think he started to question if Gibbs was able to do what he did because of something he did as his dad. I think that was another aspect of why he wanted to know how Gibbs did it. It was guilt, but on more than just one level.
