NBC is reviving Heroes

Buried alive? Don't recall that.

The cliffhanger of Season 4 involved Claire climbing to the top of a Ferris Wheel and jumping off on National TV, exposing herself to the world.
Hmmmm...I remember somebody (thought it was Claire and Noah) being buried in a bus on the site of the Fairgrounds?

I think they got buried alive and another character (Mohinder or Not-Nikki) randomly showed up to save them, then wouldn't go with them on their mission to save the world.

My memory of season 4 is decidedly vague right now, so I'm sure that did happen. But I can remember the end of the finale very clearly, especially since it echoed the same sequence from season 1 that introduced us to Claire.

It was Not-Nikki (I think her name was Tracy).

Claire's on Nashville, Hiro's on Hawaii Five-0, Sylar does movies (and good TV shows) now and would cost too much. Maybe they could get Milo Ventimiglia (Peter) back.

Milo Ventimiglia is in a new show on ABC.

Didn't the same thing happen to Mohinder in season 4? He shows up out of nowhere to help someone out, and then just bails on them when they're on a mission to save the world.

Here's a quote from Milo about the revival:

"I think it’s going to be hard to recapture what we had when the show was out, to be very honest. I’ve had a lot of fans running up to me, very excited. And I think the expectation is high--meaning people want, and are expecting, that the show is going to pick up right where it left off."

 I would hope these fans would want this new show to be significantly better than where the last one left off.

Are you kidding? Being on a Trek forum you should know as well as anyone that the one thing fans hate worse than the bad old stuff is different new stuff.

Sojourner's First Law of Fandom:
"The one thing fans hate worse than bad, old stuff is different, new stuff."

TRUTH

Yeah, it's more a fear of change than actually not liking it once they've experienced it.

Sojourner's Second Law of Fandom: (Paraphrased)
"The fear of change, inherent in 'different, new stuff' persists until such time as said 'new stuff' is eventually deemed worthy ONLY after having finally watched said "crapfest" and realized one criticized it before actually having seen it."

Okay, point taken. But it was largely accepted by the fans

I still dislike the Primary Ending of nuBSG because even though they found Earth, they didn't find Earth the way they found it back in 1979.... lol.

Also and to be fair, NuBSG was a reboot right out of the gate and would have gotten way more flak if they'd tried to follow on in the continuity of the Original BSG, like this Heroes: Reborn series is attempting to do.

REBOOTS tend to get a 'PASS' on things that Sequels never would. Example "Superman: Returns"

Ah, OK. I remembered it might also have been not-Nikki (I was thinking Claire, Noah and Not-Nikki, 2 out of the 3 were trapped in the bus), but, don't remember an actual saving. So, yea, maybe all I saw was Noah and Claire get buried in the bus, and then Not-Nikki arriving on the scene, and that was the end of it. Guess I must've missed a bit, if there was more beyond that :alienblush:

I liked Daphne too. One of the few good cast additions they made. Shame they arbitrarily killed her off...

Now that I think about it. I don't want a REBOOT of Heroes, and I don't want a CONTINUATION of Heroes.

I want a RESET. I want the same world with the same people in it. Peter, Nathan, Claire, Hiro, Matt, Daphne, Micah, etc. all exist somewhere but instead I want a different STORY and it doesn't necessarily have to feature them.

ERASE everything and start again.

ALTERNATE TIMELINE... (we might even find that poor irish girl)

I almost always prefer continuations over re-anythings.

I'd really like to see Claire, Hiro, and Mohinder return. But it would also be cool to see HRG gather a team of All-New, All-Different H-Men. :mallory:

Noah Bennett, father of cheerleader Claire, is the first announced character returning from the original show.

Cool. They've got the only character that really matters returning. Forget the rest, I feel their stories have been told.

Yeah, I can't think of any of them who have an unfinished story.

Maybe it would be nice to see Micah.

I think Micah had the best story of all. He fully embraced the super-hero lifestyle by using his ability to talk to machines to stay off the grid so he can help others with abilities when needed. Plus he has that soft spot for the ice queen Tracy.
