NBA Playoffs - 2009

Boston pulls out a win over Orlando last night 92 - 88, and frankly.... the Magic seem to be losing it. They should have won that game, and Dwight Howard afterwards had some ill-timed public comments.

The Lakers..... uhh, did the Rockets even show up? I mean, 118 - 78?!?!?!

Maybe Tim Floyd should be the next coach of the Lakers and trade for OJ Mayo? :D

I typically don't post Youtube clips but I just saw this commercial and it's too damn funny not to share.

:guffaw::guffaw: Hilarious!

Well, the Rockets forced a Game 7 last night, but I just don't see them winning the series. The Lakers are the better team on paper, and I really think they'll come out with lots of energy in Game 7 and put the Rockets away. And if the Rockets stubbornly hang around and keep the game close, then they'll be finished off by the Stern Button.

It's a darned good thing for the Lakers that game 7 is in LA. There is no reason why the Rockets should still be in this after losing Yao a few games ago. I have a feeling that the Lakers will win game 7 BIG time, but to be honest..... I don't know how they will fare agaisnt the Nuggets who are playing some inspired ball.

Game 7 for Orlando and Boston as well. Orlando has to be kicking themselves for the missed opportunities in Games 4 and 5, otherwise they woulda wrapped this one up already. I just can't see them taking Game 7 in Boston though.

Cleveland has enough time off for the players to travel the world and write their memoirs this postseason. They'll have a week+ off before the East Finals begin.

what's it say about a team that can't put away an undermanned opponent?

Here's a couple of offerings from the greatness of Drew Litton:

You know, I saw this commercial during one of the games and my response was :wtf:. Can someone who got it (understood it), and especially who found it funny, explain the commercial to me?

Disturbing loss for the Lakers in game 6. Even more disturbing than the game 4 loss. That the Lakers could only muster 80 points against that team was shocking to me.

I think the Lakes will win game 7, but I will say this; it is much easier for a team to take tough "D" on the road than good outside shooting. This bodes well for the Rox.

^ Santonio Holmes immitated the talcum powder toss after his game winning TD in the Superbowl.

I think its dumb, but I guess its caught on.

It always depresses me a little when these top-level sportsmen are my age or close, like LeBron. I want to be able to do that! Amazing.

Am I the only one who is not super impressed with Lebron's shot last night? Game winning shots are nice, but he's hardly the first person to make one this post season.

But now ESPN makes it seem like he's better than Jordan. Jordan won the series on the road with a last second shot. Lebron tied a series up on his home floor.

LeBron always has been, and ever shall be, the Chosen One. The sooner you accept that, the better your basketball watching experience will be. ;)

He probably just saved the season for the Cavs. Going down 0-2 on your own floor would be the kiss of death. A shot like that also has the ability to knock the wind out of your opponent for the next game.

On the topic of Jordan - I'm not sure I agree that he's the best ever, but I have thought for a while now that if Lebron continues on the path he's going (and doesn't retire 20 times like Jordan), he's going to break almost every record out there and be remembered as better than Jordan. He's just a freak of nature.
