National Treasure

I enjoyed both the movies. They were just plain fun. My dd enjoyed them and it caused her to look things up online that she wanted more info on.

These are pure fun rides. I totally enjoy them and I actually hope there's a 3rd one on the way because I'd see it and probably enjoy it. Didn't watch them in theatres (and I'm glad I didn't) but I did watch them in other circumstances and very much enjoyed them.

When introducing someone to them it helps to make sure they understand that aspect: that these are just pure fun rides in a film, not meant to be taken at all seriously.

I also really enjoy both NT movies, own them both on DVD, though I like the first one much more. I seem to remember director Turtletaub admitting at some point that the 2nd one wasn't as good as he'd hoped, though from the behind-the-scenes featurettes, everyone involved in the production had fun making the movie. Looking forward to NT3.

The third one should've been the one called Book of Secrets. NT2 was about the lost city and the book was just a small subplot with a clue. It'd be like taking Star Trek: First Contact and naming it Star Trek: Barclay Meets Cochrane.

Hey Rob,

What did you think of the recent The Mummy films?

I havent seen the new Mummy. I did like the other ones though. In fact, I think its because of the success of Mummy/National Treasure that Indiana Jones isn't 'unique' anymore. I think both Mummy movies I saw, both National Treasure movies, and even Sahara, are more enjoyable than the last Indy film...

I havent seen the new mummy because I have kids and can only escape to see a movie so many times a year..I will see it when it comes out on DVD...Unfortunately I DID use one of my 'get out of jail' cards to see Crystal Skull...what a waste!!!!

Unless you have infants or toddlers just make the kids go with you. LOL

Family night at the movies!!

National Treasure is okay. But its thinness shows after about a dozen viewings. Not Nicholas Cage's best and Sean Bean can do other things besides villians!

Well..I have seen many times and I think it gets better..and I think it is Cage's best in some time..and as for Bean? He is far better in this movie than he was in that dreadful sleep inducing Goldeneye...
