Fried or Cake?

I prefer fried, but I have been to one of the original Krispy Kremes here in North Carolina at about 11:30 at night downing fresh melt in your mouth pieces of heaven served with cold milk...so I'm spoiled.

They were closed for a month for renovations.

There was much rejoicing when they flipped the switch to HOT NOW on Peace Street that day I can tell you.


And yes, occasionally they sell Doug_nuts, but I have never partook. I don't see how they could quite compare.

Ah, so THIS is why Dunkin Donuts gave me a freebie this morning! Ordered my coffee, and they just asked if I wanted a free donut with that. Sure, why not? Makes a little more sense now
