Do Nascar drivers get a portion of the prize money they win in each race or do they just get paid a salary for driving?
Does Nascar have pension plan like other pro sports?

It depends on the driver’s contract but some get up to 45% of the winnings, now I would presume this is after the IRS takes their cut, and the owner takes his cut.
Some do get a salary as well, but that is also a contract matter between owner and driver.
Most count on souvenir sales.
I don’t think NA$CRAP has a pension plan.

Have you noticed that you never read in the sports sections of newspapers about the contracts of Nascar drivers but you get a lot about baseball, football and basketball?

They're private deals between the driver and owner. I would think the most public one recently was Tony Stewart's deal where he was given the team he drives for now or a controlling intrest in it.
