NASCAR 2009 Season + F1, NHRA, IRL ect.

Bleagh. What a horrible finish to the race.

And I think I lost all respect for Junior after that interview. NOTHING was his fault, according to him. Dude, even if you're not going to admit you wrecked Vickers (which you DID and every single reporter covered your sorry ass), admit that you screwed up on pit road TWICE. "Oh, everyone's sign is pink!" "Oh, they should change the rule about pitting inside the box!" Dude! Take some fucking responsibility. At least when your old man pulled this shit, he admitted it.
I Agree Jr. Fucked up,
DW was kissing his ass as was Hamond.
at least a Hendrick car or Kyle Bush didn't win.

Well, I hate country music and I am very white collar so I don't fit the sterotypical NASCAR fan.

...and a southern country bumpkin from WISCONSIN won the race.
Other notes: -I like Junior but he DID cause the 'big one' today. Totally boneheaded and out of character pit screwups too.
-3 Petty cars in the top 10. What is Kyle Petty so bitter about? The fact that the team has improved drastically since they kicked him out if it?
-Tony Stewart will be a power this year. Good start for him.
-Toyotas are strong. Looks like I'm going to have to deal with more Kyle Busch crap. damn.
-On the good side of Toyota, looks like Tommy Baldwin picked the right manufacturer. I'll bet they won enough $$ today to actually pay the crew. I like this story.
On to Fontana!

hahahaha change of heart?

On to Fontana!
actually he was kicked out before the recent merger. He was booted when PE sold some of the company to Boston V. Kyle is just pissed because it bares his Dad's name but in his mind its always going to be Ray's team and Ray's cars and Ray's drivers...nothing PETTY about it.

dw would start to go after jr and then back down.
wouldnt be suprised if some fox dweeb was shouting in his ear to back off jr so they wouldnt get jr nation mad at them.

was jr on something.
how do you miss a pit not once but twice including going totally past it.
and then what he did to vickers./
and his why would he block me.
perhaps stupid hind end one because vickers didnt want to lose the lucky dog spot to you.

Something I posted on another forum which fits here too.

I keep on thinking about last year at the Fontana Race in which Nascar waited and waited and fans were complaining about Fontana being a bad track or why NASCAR didn't call it sooner. I wonder what Nascar could have done here, but I think the difference is this is Nascar's signature event. They anger fans at this event (Which was only sold out last night I heard) and who knows what crap Nascar will pull later in the season. I agree that they should have waited longer, but it's kind of damned if you do, damned if you don't situation.

As for Dale Jr., that was a punk assed move on his part. The simple fact that there are no penalties for what he did is a reason my interest in this sport is waning. I don't know how many races I will watch this year, but it won't be as many as other years. Probably this one, Infinion, the second Daytona Race, and the stuff at Talledaga. Other than that, I probably won't follow it as much.

I am on the side that what Dale Jr did was on purpose. Vickers had all right to block him the race was going to be called soon, everyone knew it. Both were a lap down it was for position and Vickers blocked him. Junior couldn't pass below the line and he had already screwed up twice that day in the pits..he was pissed and made that right turn too soon on purpose.

Its not like Vickers hasn't done something like thid before:lol: I remember a race where it was Earnhardt Jr (8) leading Johnson and Vickers (25) and Brian took his teammate and Junior out to get the win:devil: He deserved that win, His teammates took wins that should have been his.

probably had way,way too much AMP, in the water bottle!

*Joey Logano - I do not feel that Joey is ready for the sprint cup series and I am not exspecting much from this kid. He may win a pole this this season, that wouldn't surprise me and he may be running up front for alot of the races this season but I am predicting an average finish of 25th for Sliced Bread. I honestly think he will have troubble keeping above the top 35 in owners points.

I've got a bad feeling about Logano. Especially after seeing the incidents both on Sunday and in the Bud Shootout. If this kid doesn't wind up seriously hurt it will be a miracle.

+Watch out for Allmendinger, he is a force to keep an eye on!
Amen.

It's been a long time since we've seen a Petty car finish in the top 5 at Daytona. Longer still for two of them. Sunday we had three in the top ten. I don't think we've ever seen that before.

+Bill Eliott, with the wood brothers only racing a few selected races and with Bill's performance in 500 qualifying...beware of Awsome Bill.

I would love to see Awesome Bill from Dawsonville and the Wood Brothers in Victory Lane this year...

Well I decided to watch the Daytona 500 and that had to be the lamest
finish ever. I was sitting there with 48 laps to go waiting for them to restart
then I hear fireworks and the random guy who was still upfront because of
a caution wins? Last year's was way better.

Oh well, F1 and IRL are much more entertaining anyways.

Watch a race at Bristol or Martinsville and let's see if you say the same thing.

I'm having to wonder that one myself. Those two problems pitting are something you would expect from a rookie, not someone with almost ten years in the Sprint Cup. Don't forget that he had pit problems earlier in the weekend too.

What he did to Vickers was purposeful. He wanted to ruin someone else's day.

Joey isn't ready and I really don't care how great he is supposed top be I knew he wasn't ready last year and its only going to be shown this year. I am not saying he isn't a good enough drive rit is that when your racing around Gordon, Johnson, Edwards...you can't afford to make a single error.

Ouch....

ALL of the Rausch cars lose their engines. Ouch.

What the heck happened to Mark Martin?

Have to admit I'm shocked that Gordon finished as well as he did after destroying his cars aerodynamics like that...

Probably some R&D HMS parts
It Seems funny that the #’s 24 & 48 come out of the same Building and dominate.
But the #’s 5 & 88 that are in two different Bldg’s on the compound have all the problems.

^I must have missed something. At what point did Junior have engine problems?
I don't think he did. H eis just a shitty driver:lol:
Just look at the history of HMS in the past few years.
The 24 & 48 are the better cars, they always will be so long as Gordon & Johnson are in them. The best sponsership, they need thos ecars to be 5 star.....then there is the # 5 and the #88 (25) and the #44 when they had that. Those cars have been hit and miss, mostly miss.

The 5 was only a miss with Kyle Busch at the helm. Terry Labonte may not have won a whole lot of races, but he finished consistently and ran at the front in almost every race even if he didn't lead the points.

indeed the 5 was consistant with Terry, Sucky with Shrub. But you missed Mears who is a pretty good racer but in the #5 he wasn't performing very well. Mark Martin's having some bad luck so far with his attempt in the #5. The #25 hasn't been hot since 1997 with Ricky Craven at the wheel. It has a few good races and its has shared the seat with alot of great racers. Mears, Vickers, Nemecheck. Now we have the #88  Driver error mixed with either the third worst of worst HMS car being fielded these days.

I was so hoping Fox would do a Talladega Nights Reference right there. Opportunity Wasted. :guffaw:
