Spoilers Narissa's fate

I hope she's alive. Yeah she's campy but I love it. I wouldn't miss Narek.

It's interesting Chabon says they cut out the scenes showing the fates of Narek and the Xbs. I can see where there wasn't a lot of room between Picard's death and resurrection to fit stuff in and keep the pace of the episode but I think maybe they should've found a way considering both were a huge part of the season. Narek is a main cast member and he just ceases to be:rommie: With that said I assumed he was arrested and the Xbs stayed with the Synths. Maybe Chabon is crediting us with using our imaginations based on what we were left with. I appreciate that. Either way I'm sure we'll be back on the Synth planet at some point to clear things up.

She fell down a pit and we didn't see her body = she's alive and well. She'll be back.

Narek comes across as conflicted villain and I enjoy it when a villain can be redeemed. But I hope he doesn't get back together with Soji because their relationship was abusive and it would send the wrong message if they patched up.

But that being said, if they bring back one of the Romulan siblings for the second season to become a recurring villain, it's probably Narek. Chabon said a scene with him being taken into Federation custody was cut, so he's probably still alive, and now has a personal reason to go after Seven... which could also provide some interesting contrast with her own history of revenge. I can see that become a plot point later.
I can't see Narek being terribly upset about the death of his abusive sister.

I can't see Narek being terribly upset about the death of his abusive sister.
During their last scene together, they did seem to have some brotherly-sisterly affection for each other, if only begrudgingly, and they even hugged briefly. Narek seemed to treat their relationship as sibling rivalry (it might even be somewhat typical among Romulans for all we know) rather than abuse, so he might justify it at the end with something along the lines of "but she was still my sister." Naturally, it can simply mean he's in denial about the true nature of their relationship and is trying to justify it in his head. But without reading anything into all of that, he might simply feel compelled to take revenge due to some Romulan concept of honor that we're yet to hear about; if the show keeps the Romulans around, they'll probably continue fleshing out their culture and customs.

Narek and Narissa didn't get along (Narek described himself as a "Zhat Vash washout").

Narissa was more of the instigator than Narek.

They both cared for each other, enough so that Narek chose his sister and the Zhat Vash in the end. The relationship was tense, but that's not much different than other sibling relationships. When it came down to it, Narek chose blood, like in other sibling relationships too. I think the creators took time to depict Narissa displaying concern for her aunt so the audience could see she wasn't one dimensional and that in her own way she cared about her family.
