any idea what happened to her, was she put in some kind of group nursery, or was her mother able to keep her with her? its a curious thing to think on.

She was probably put into the aliens' school, if they had one. Given training for when she got older and was able to become a worker.
Dudes! They gave her a paper route.

They probably kept her with Samantha Wildman. She was too young for labor, but they definately would have brainwashed her because the conspirators wanted to keep their black market recruitment tactics under wraps. She would have evacuated to the escape pods with her mother.
I'm glad someone else was pondering this. 
Maybe it's just my fondness for children (or watching TNG and knowing that every awful thing that befell the ship was traumatizing dozens of children, who were dream-deprived for weeks or turned into iguanas or what have you) but I always wondered "where's poor Naomi?"
